hi all , i just received my first bpsd .

nice watch , but the bracelet is not good at all versus the bracelet on my exlorer2 . it feels tinny . can anyone tell me if the TC one is more of a solid feel ?

also , the crown does not screw all the way in , I have attached a couple of photos , anyone know how I could fix this ?

many thanks for looking.

would I be advised to change the dial and hands when changing the bracelet ?
I will have to send this out to someone to be done so if anyone can recommend a modder in the u.k. I would be grateful

special thank you goes out to benjji who advised me over the last few months , thanks mate .

Hi, these are another generation of Rolex bracelet, for what it is, the SD one is actually very good (but feels flimsy like the gen compared to all modern generation glidelock type bracelets). TC has the same hollow links, except for absolute purists there is no difference. Same goes for hands and dial (in my opinion). The only change I would make is to change the crown for a gen one for less than $100 or not do anything.

For taking off the bracelet and to put it on a leather or a NATO You just need the lugbar removal tool.
For shortening the stem You would need to send it to a modder if You don´t feel comfortable doing it.
Try again several times to push the crown in while winding forward, maybe the threads are just not catching - there is a strong feather/resistance in between.

thanks for the reply daywatch.

so the original sd has hollow links , same as the rep . wow .

I have tried pushing whilst winding the crown in , but it still leaves a gap of about 2mm

No, You can´t. But You can use silicon grease/gel, just turn it lots of times or try to use a toothbrush and paste under slowly running warm water while turning it.

I think I will change the hands to TC , does anyone recommend me to change the dial too ?

as the crown is a bit stiff , I think I will change the tube and crown for the TC one , hopefully a modder can fit this for me .

finally , does anyone know if any solid bracelets fit this , I just don't like the feel of the lightweight bracelet that is on it .

Hi guys, and first of all happy new year!
I was wondering if anyone recently tried to replace the original bezel ring of the Bp SeaD.
A few days ago I tried a Sea Dweller from a vintage watch shop and I'm still amazed about how the BP is similar to the gen thing.
By the way, the more I try gens the more I think that the biggest flaw of the BP is the bezel ring. Teeth are too shallow and not deep enough.
The BP bezel has gen construction? A gen one would fit on the BP case?

Put a TC SD bracelet on it. The BP dial isn't bad just if you are changing the hands they might not match the lume on the dial. So I am having a TC dial/hands installed all at once. If it was me I would just get a gen crown/tube installed for a few extra also. Good luck

Anyone know if TC v2 sub hands are correct for a BPSD? The TC v2 sub hands look much better than the TC SD hands but I'm not sure whether the two are inter-compatible.
Apologies if this has already been discussed on page 55 of 2500. Thanks

Yes they are mate, that is providing the bP SD has the proper ETA Clone movement and not the Z2.
