Question for all those bp sd owners in the know....

An SD with no lugholes and no lec could never technically be period correct could it?

Why wouldn't it?

Does anyone have an extra bracelet link they can part with for the BP SD classic? Mr. Big wrist here would be very thankful.

Where you live bro? I'll send you one!

Which Dealer or Seller has one?

Any dealer can get you one as long as they are currently available. Just e-mail the dealer of your choice for price and availability.

That's it. There's only one factory making the Classic SD right now and that's the BP factory.

Well, the lec was introduced in 2001 and no lughole cases were introduced in 2005 so what version would a no lugs and no lec sd be based on? Guessing that's why a lot of people mod and add lugholes?....

yes , lec was from 2001/02 and no lug after 2004. BUT, i dont know the reason, i've seen no lugs sd with no lec crystal ( my collegue has it)...

i think rolex provide discontinuously lec cristal for sd nolug version.

A2824-2. A2813 is a very inexpensive low beat movement. So if you want one that looks like the original Rolex movement, get the 2824.

They are so many variation in the gen world.. Mostly because of parts that's available during services from Rolex .. So its possible to see all kinds of combos out there!
If you replace the dial insert and crown with gen? It's going to look so close that it's not going to be questioned! But the build I'm doing now! I'm going lug holes! Can't wait!

I find myself coming back to this build often ! I have built 4 of these before! The last one turning out great!

But still wanted to do one with gen dial! But I didn't want to cut the feet off a perfect gen dial!
Recently I found out the whole time I was building the other four! That I could had used Yuki 3135 movement! So all this time I could have done what I originally wanted to do in the first place..lol So here is a preview of round five!
I really hope I get the results I been wanting!

rudy, after all those gen parts are installed, how much will the watch have cost you ? (just want to see if this is something i could afford as it would be so close to gen)

What's up with the red tip on the second hand?

I am going blind so it makes it easier to see. Oh and it looks great. I have had this done on my old Seiko SBDX001 and a few Marcello C's in the past. It breaks up the normality of the watch without being obscene imo.

Lol Wank!!!

Guys I really couldn't give you a for sure number as of right now! They will be charged for modding the case ...I may get some Lume work done, final assembly.. They maybe trouble with a part or something.... You never know? ... I can give you a honest number after final assembly! The last I done without gen dial with TC dial SWISS base movement was over $1200 after said and done!
My goal here is to stay under 2k and have a nice gen like SD.... I have much love for this piece!
I love the no cyclops look! It eliminates worry with gen Xtal to get the 2.5x mag right!
It's a tad thicker than 16610...but still wears well!
It a great everyday piece! Go's with any attire!

Rudy that watch is Beautiful every time I see the guys around here that build these pieces it just motivates me more. After a while at least for me you appreciate the classics are better and become disappointed with the ceramics!
