Both are hollow mid links as per the gen. I've never handled a TC but I think the BP bracelet is excellent quality. It seems to be the exact same one that was on the original Noobfactory SSD. And that was considered top of the line when it originally came out.

I know the main thing people seem to like about the TC is the end links are made slightly oversized so you can modify them for a perfect SEL fit on your particular watch head.

I have the tc bracelet on my BPSD and I think the main benefit is that it uses 2mm spring bars and has a tight sel fitment, but the BP sd is a good bracelet overall and main thing I don't like was the clasp and the link in the 6 o'clock side was rubbing against the clasp making it stiff.

Hi, the lumecolour at night was the same anyway (unlike some versions of early Blackbay V2) what is mentioned here often is a greenish tint to the hands at daylight on some (or many) samples. I never noticed it on mine and have it for over 1 Year. Point 2 is if the original hands are replaced with TC ones (to settle the greenish tint - as said, not on all, but on some) it will no longer match the original dial, hence replacing the dial as well.

My opinion: nowadays this is - and by far - the best Submariner - type Rolex out of the box. All around, regarding everything. Use it on NATO/leather in Summer, on the original bracelet in Winter. Never felt the need to swap over my TC bracelet and give it a try, they are too similar for the normal user in looks and feel. Once I received mine I never again thought about modding it, in my opinion it´s better to keep the money and someday buy a TC sub with Cyclops as well. If it´s working perfectly well and keeping fantatstic time and being waterproof why open it up, risk breaking the stem, messing the keyless, having the seconds hand not well replaced, getting dust on the dial etc. plus the expense?? Once it breaks down - if it does - than go ahead and change something (if You want to).

For those worrying about the lume on the newer BPSD, I've got both BP and TC dials in two different SD's and the lume in both is almost identical. TC's is on the right.

Actually, that's not a screw. It's a button that snaps into the clasp on the diver's extension. And I think it could be a shadow in the picture, never having seen one in gen form. :eek:hwell:

OK, you can call it a screw with buttons on the end.

Actually, I'd say it's a spring bar with buttons on the end from the looks of that picture and the ends aren't black. And it looks pretty much like the same one on my SSD.

No, the spring bar is what is laying beside the clasp. The black screw is screwed into the last link. Look close, it's there.

Question for all those bp sd owners in the know....

An SD with no lugholes and no lec could never technically be period correct could it?
