Oh yes, there are coloured inserts availible! But only from our friend WSO. There are red, blue and green inserts availible.

Never was a gen green SD. But yes, you're right. WSO does show one on eBay.

But please, don't ruin a good SD with a green insert.

Just for fun. Price of the coloured version is far too high. The red one is only availible with bezel. Bezel is crap as we all know Ado examined this part very well.

BTW the WSO pearl is crap, too. Lume is very weak and there isn't any cover over it. You can buy the pearl as a spare part, too. Only 19,95$...
Nothing more to say about.
But the black insert with modified pearl is really decent I have to say. I'm using it on my modded SSD.

Any of you guys have a BP case where the HE valve is looking a bit too "polished'? I've got a ton of mods into this (typical ones: TC dial, hands, bracelet, crown, DWO v4, Gen insert, shaved CGs, and drilled lugs). I'm still kinda meh on the HE valve. I feel like it's to shiny. Is there a Gen that had the lugholes and a more polished looking HE valve before they went to the matte gunmetal colored one? If so, then I can relax a bit ;)

The operative word being "should." mine clearly doesn't. You can tell they tried, but it didn't come out. Probably from the reject pile. Everything else is tip top though. Probably on account of the fact that everything was changed including requiring 3 different case back swaps to get one with straight engraving. Glad to know there is a gen out there that looks like mine. Thanks!

Greg, don't worry about the shiny HE valve. Together with drilled lugholes this is a possible combination I think. I'm sure you will find gen watches with shiny valves and lugholes if you do search long enough.
I've got the same specs with my SSD V2. The valve was coloured like Ti but after case polishing it got shiny SS. So I decided my build shows a watch produced in 2000 (16600P) which had a service in 2006 and got a new bracelet during revision (clasp code OP6). There are only a few people out in the wild which have got the knowledge to spot a fake because of these details!
If you have got drilled lugholes there is another point which is more important to spot on. SDs with lugholes should have SELs WITHOUT grooves for springbar removal! These SELs are only availible as a gen part and are very expensive! So I decided my watch has got a new bracelet during service in 2006...

Here's the HE valve on my gen 16600 from 1997. HE valve is polished from factory.

I had a BPSD with TC dial, hands, bracelet and overall the look and feel is close enough to gen. The BP bezel is shit as we all know.

Gen "feel" and "aura" is well over rated.
