Excited for more two tone wristies on this thread. I have a leftover prof xtal to swap in the TT
So the clark's crystal with AR on the cyclops and LEC has been recommended by many if one wants to replace the stock BP crystal - but does it have the black hole effect? Or is it that since the cyclops has AR coating, it is understood that the black hole effect will be there? Or the black hole effect is not relevant to the 5 digit subs?

Seriously for the price they look ridiculously good. Even their rehaut engraving is better aligned than some recent Clean GMT... Congrats on the new acquisitionQC are already there. I can't wait to welcome the baby.

@watcher009 Five digit subs came both with and without AR (black hole effect). Mostly without AR. but in it's most recent models there was some AR. I put AR in all my old subs to give it black hole affect because I love the style more personally. Both is good. If a watch has AR on the cyclops, it has black hole effect. I don't rate Clark's AR crystals highly though. I think they're often recommended by people who haven't been able to compare them to gen side by side maybe
@watcher009 I don't know the depth measurement of a deep crystal but i think that could be a relatively cheap nice alternative to clark

I've used a lot of Clark's with AR cyclops and like them. They are better IMO than several rep offerings - for example no AR cyclops or ones with cyclops edge distortion. I also like them better than a gen 5 digit crystal which I came to greatly dislike, to the point of replacing it with a 6 digit gen crystal.
