I’d like to see some competition trying to make “better and better” 5 digits.

Let’s see a VSF 16613 Bluesy!

5 digit reps with todays rep technology would be very interesting.
Also to note, 5 digit gen parts are easier to find and more affordable than 6 digit parts; Especially on solid gold and two tone.

Basically, the 5 digits are older models, produced from the late 80s to late noughties: smaller cases and aluminium inserts.

6 digits are the current and previous generations: larger cases and ceramic inserts.

Batman is a 6-digit gmt.

I be got another, different question. There are a lot of very good legal homage watches on the market that are nearly identical to the sub or the gmt, particularly Steve and others on Ali express. Would not the easiest and least expensive way to make a rep to buy one of those and then swap out with a gen dial?

Pardon my ignorance, but was is the the difference between 5 or 6 digits? Does that refer to the model number? I’m looking at the most current Batman/batgirl model. Is there a bezel problem on the 6 digit clean version?

Interesting, but I'm guessing just a movement upgrade from SA to VR and still not gen spec bezel assembly.

Some better shots showing the crystal from different angles. The VSF crystal seems to be slightly thicker than the stock crystal so I had to go with a 2.5mm gasket to get the crystal height correct.

It should be a VR3135 which is a desirable improvement over the previous offerings.

I just did this too, but made a few hairline scratches to my dial. Those damn shiny laquered dials. And my shitty tools and skills.
