This came today, bought it for my daughter to check what it looked like. I'm pretty impressed with the finish of the dial, the stitching on the strap is shocking though.

This one needs a bit of further debugging. The dial is not fully in center as it’s smaller than the usual canon ones

Also I am hesitant about a green bezel or the steel one.

Cool stuff. "Carlow" I would keep the steel. The green bezel might just be overkill.

Keep the steel, nice contrast imo.

Can't beat the green (dial), white (hour/ minute hands,) & orange (chrono)

Long time listener first time caller. I've spent the past few days reading all 36 pages. I have ordered a White moon phase from W77 and now considering what case to go with or rather whether to go with a blue or black insert. I also need to order my PE50 stems.

The one thing I may have missed is, is there anyone offering the 3d printed case inserts in the UK? I have checked my local library and not something they have available. If not, I am sure I will find a way.

Switch out the case and second hand for gold.
Contrary to popular beliefs it's green white and gold!

And green and gold just work better

Noone is doing UK relay unfortunately and shipping from EU is bloody expensive for the thing

Hey guys!

After reading through this whole thread, I knew I had to do the mod!

Here is my White Snoopy Moonphase (otherwise known as a 12h dial since the moon is always out somewhere lol)

I just have 1 question, the dial keeps on slightly lifting on the non-crown side.
Is this just a bad movement holder I'm using?

Three things can happen when building

1. You accidentally lift the dial from the mvt. With a normal 2h subdial this pops out the hand with the moonphase you won’t see it

2. The holder is too small. The dial feet are fragile. When you screw in the crown, the mvt shifts left and displaces the dial.

3. This can also happen when you screw shut the caseback if the holder binds into it

Hi! I just finished reading the entire thread and I am very excited about giving this mod a try. I would like to thank Caboose, Karbon74 and all other contributors for all the input and advice to make even the less experienced of us a chance to do this modification.

Also,me being a complete noob on 3d printing,I am a bit confused by the differentiation between EU,Canada and Conus variants.Does that mean some files can only be 3d printed in certain reagions?

I've also found that adding a chapter ring will prevent it from moving forward.

Personally, I add a bit of nylon tape to center and a custom wire spring that locks the assembly in place. I only screw the crown when everything is solid and not moving.

It's actually the standard VK63 that most people here tend to use.

I'll definitely open it back up when I get some time and try out your fixes!!

Thank you for confirming. I have downloaded the files already but so far haven't found anyone locally with a printer. I can see on eBay that some people offer the service but I had hoped to find a local enthusiast.
My moonwatch is due to be delivered tomorrow, I have yet to order the case and stem, so no rush.
