I remove the feet and use small slivers of the clear command strips to stick it to the movement.Clear
Pardon me. English is not my primary language.
What are command strips and small slivers?
You can buy dial feet and glue them with epoxy or other strong glue to the dial. Then you can install and remove the dial as usual.May I ask you guys how THIS dial will fit a VR3130?
Just remove all dial feet, and glue new feet in? Or will the existing ones fit the VR3130?
Fantastic! I literally made an account just to comment and ask some questions regarding your build. I do have some experience with modding but the reshaping of watch cases I’ve never tried. I do apologize beforehand for noobish questions.

Was it done with a dremel with fine grit sand drums and diamond files? I need to check what material I need to get to start my own little project .
Thanks for the input. I’m just missing the diamond files.Diamond files for the inside of the CG
I use a dremel with flap drums of varied grit for the lugs, then buff with felt and Dialux
Also I use the dremel workstation. The dremel is fixed and I work the watch. More control this way
Finally, i recommend a variable speed dremel, not the cheaper model. Again, more control
Thanks for the input. I’m just missing the diamond files.
I have that aliX case coming in some weeks but haven’t decided on what to order yet from raffles. Did you have to change the crown tube in the case to accommodate the raffles crown?
You need to buy several crowns and try them.
You can’t change the tube. The ali case has a press in tube vs screwed in for rolex gen/reps
If you change the tube you need to weld the hole and redrill/tap…or JB Weld the new tube in
True, but...You need to buy several crowns and try them.

That’s the Raffles caseI thought I had read that the AliX case has a screw in tube but was smaller than gen and without the countersink as on a gen 16610? Meaning that if one wanted to use a gen tube one must retap and countersink the hole.
I just got some of the AliX cases and haven’t started playing around with them yet. Would be interested in trying to modify it for a gen tube if it’s possible. Without welding that is.
The Raffles case 5 digits is horribleTrue, but...
Yes, the AliX cases have a press fit tube, but I just get a screw in tube, epoxy (or similar) it into the case, and all is well. I've done at least 10 watches like this. No tapping needed. Takes 5 minutes of effort, 24 hours of fully curing, and done.
However, I will say the Raffles cases are a lot less effort, just more expensive.
Correct. It is very straightforward. If you went with the Raffles case you don't have to worry about the tube, and I'd recommend a pure Raffles build for your first build because it just works. If you ended up building a 14060 you didn't like, they will sell pretty quick! So what I read between the lines here is:
Get the AliX case
Nh38(or be cheap like me, use an NH35 I have in the drawer)
Raffles dial/hands/crown
Pop the crown tube, reshape the case, epoxy the raffles crown to the case
…. Assemble and voila, budget 14060!
Next level would be to tinker with the crystal, bezel and insert.
Cheers
