PM me when you get to the crystal and bezel…I have a few tips to pass on

On a scale of 1-10, how easy would it be to screw up a bezel swap for a first timer you reckon? Would it be worth the risk ruining both the case and the bezels or better gain experience and try later on in the journey?

The Ali case costs less than 50€ so it’s not the end of the world

An insert swap is easy.
A bezel swap on that case needs some care not to lose the spring and click mechanism

Now if you want to put a « gen spec » 14060 insert, it is delicate work.

So let’s say a bracelet adjustement is 1 and a full movement service is 10, then it’s a 5

So of course I couldn’t wait the dial from raffles to finish my build and I had to strap the case to an oyster (shitter) bracelet I had lying around to get a first look, and I noticed that the end links just lifted up, not being blocked by the bezel.

When getting a new (and most importantly period correct) bracelet, is there a specific measure of end links I should get to avoid this happening? @Karbon74 I saw you worked a lot on this case in particular, do you think a 14060 raffles bracelet could do the trick?

I bought the case with the bracelet just to get the endlinks and used the 5513 Raffles bracelet with the hollow centerlinks.

I like the lightness and jiggly feel of that bracelet

You can also buy the case with bracelet and just the clasp from Raffles

The AliX case will not work with SEL

So your case came with a bracelet? I got it from the link posted here and in the listing there wasn’t that option, what a bummer

Do you think that a raffles hollow linked bracelet could solve the issue or would it end up with the same issue? (will just stick to nato straps at that point)

I have had many people pair Raffles hollow 580 end links (I think) with my AliX 14060 builds and all went fine.

Hey guys,
I would like to order am the 25.286 from cousins, but there are two questions for me.
Can anybody point out the differences between the Chinese, the sternkreuz and the USA tropic glass/Are there any quality or appearance differences beside the gasket heights?
And I would like to order the gasket in different heights separately. Does anybody have the gasket measures for me?

I’ve found out, that the USA and china version is Saphire, the sternkreuz is mineral. Gen is Saphire too. So the way to go should be USA or china?
Gasket is 28,6mm.
