Actually, there's a practical reason for the crown not to rest on the case... Bronze on bronze will eventually fuse together. It's why they use a stainless case back.

You are correct. Over time some Gen owners have had the Bezel fuse to the case making it unable to turn.

@sur101 ... if dare enough, and BEING EXTREMELY CAREFUL I'll keep chamfering a little bit more. I'd prefer "to fall short" than cross a "non return" red line. Overall the watch looks gorgeous.

IMHO that picture, although correct, "exagerated/excesive" a little bit the effect.
Something, like a thin bronze color nut-shaped piece, protude a litttle bit on gen. But, there's "almost" nothing metallic/silver noticeable at naked eye, between crown and case on GEN. Crowns & CGs KW is now mounting on latest batch (like the ones @PAM1983 posted here) are "nearly" unnaceptable, BIG step backwards.

Press "GALLERY" for detailed view...

I think it's good you guys are pointing out problems with the rep.... And the factories should fix inconsistencies. But don't let these flaws diminish your enjoyment of the watch. Really, most flaws are imperceptible on the wrist. And, honestly, nobody around you will ever care... At the end of the day, it's a damn good watch for the price, no matter which factory/version you choose.

Yeah that crown. Lol but to be honest it doesn't bother me that much. I still need to work on the chamfering a bit more cause I spent like 10 mins last night, I will post more photos later.

I just can't wait to clean it 100% and start my own Natural Patina process. I live on an island surrounded by ocean water. It's going to get interesting for sure.

I'll post some chamfering pics when I asses the CG and think it through the exact shape that will be as close to gen but won't ruin the watch

So it came. Indices are a bit crooked on dial. The strap is total garbage. Lol. It's almost comical that they give this to you. I can handle the crown guard but the crown barely seats flush with the watch when you close it so no water for this bad boy until a new crown is located. I did a quick ketchup bath of a few minutes with a slight scrub using a toothbrush. Color is great. Just can't see why they didn't spend the time to make this watch better. My 571 blows this thing out of the water. I am siked to see it patina after giving it another bath tonight. Here are the results.

Yeah crown is definitely not a deal breaker. Still no reply from toro, not sure if he is ignoring or just busy with cne. I spent some time re-chamfering the edge pretty happy with the results. In terms of accuracy, my Pam 87 h fac blows this out of the water but, I love the look of 382 even with the flaws. If I can source fat crown I will be content.

Did you try checking to see if the crown guard is screwed al the way in? Mine was loose and the gap of the crown to the case was bigger, also if you take the crown guard off there is a sticky tape padding, not sure why, but if the gap is too big try removing that.

Thanks sir. Yeah hopefully we can source a crown. I'll pull apart crown guard and see what's going on. Maybe we need to source a new crown from KW as well.

Too be honest this batch looks 100% copper. Lol.
If I find a V3 on the boards I will buy it ASAP.

Few more pics after adjusting the cg. I also sized up the cg in my 571 with the 382. The thickness is smaller on the 382. The holes drilled for the cg bolts is off center on top of CG. As you can see no more gap in bottom of cg. Needs chamfered to match and gtg. Plus the Sapphire looks like I'm looking into a pair of glasses at certain angles.

This was a Paneristi Event over in Europe/Italy. Im just using this as a reference of the color difference. Not my watches or picture.
