I found a quick fix for ZZF v2 lugs if the endlink sits to high up (not recessed enough).

I changed the springbar on the lugs to a slightly thinner one (used from my old ARF 116613LB) on the 12-o'clock side.

As you can see the lugs are now better and closer to gen.

My ARF had too recessed lugs and they now sit a bit higher up when using the ZZF springbars instead so I got an extra bonus:)

Just thought I would share..

I can confirm now SEL recess is a bracelet issue. I bought a new ZZF bracelet which had a good recess and swapped it on one that had very bad recess and it fixed it just like a gen now.

I had it just like gen on my no date so it started to bother me so much until I couldn't even wear the other one anymore so I bought a brand new bracelet M2M. You just have to find one with a good recess meaning you need pics of the bracelet on the watch.

With the new good recess bracelet all sides are like this:

Have you tried to change to a slightly thinner spring bar? I know it's a workaround but that made my sel fit better.

Nope you made the post about that when my bracelet was already on the way but I needed to change it anyway as the clasp was with really bad QC. It's so inconsistent with ZZF you can have flush recess and nice one like gen or anything in between it seems with each different watch. I was lucky with the no date that's the only reason I bought it actually. Wanted to buy V2S and asked Sead to send no date QC as well and just by the SEL recess went for that one instead as the no date with good recess looks more gen OTB.

As far as I know, the ZZF v2 accepts genuine inserts, right? Is there any other aftermarket insert worth replacing the one it has? Mine is noticeably dull unless in sunlight, and it also sits slightly high (like the ones glued instead of just pressed). Don’t get me wrong, even with that the watch is absolutely gorgeous.

What’s everyone using, besides the obvious genuine insert?

Have you cleaned it ever?

That helps a lot if the markers are really dirty.

Yes indeed. I always clean thoroughly my reps as soon as I receive them.

I might try contacting Spongebob (that is if I can find his user, lol). I had a Spongebob insert for my old v6s and I remember it was flawless.

I think he means clean the bezel insert. ZZF insert gets easily dirty/darker after a few weeks. With warm water, soap and a soft toothbrush your bezel numbers will get much brighter.

Yes correct before and after some quick toothbrushing:

When I clean a watch I do it exactly like that (and that’s what I did, as I already saw your photos before, actually -good job btw!-). Warm water, soap and toothbrush. Including the insert, paying special attention to the numerals and indexes. Will try again and spend some time, thanks.

Hi All,
Has anyone else experienced delays in ordering your ZZF V2 3135 ? I ordered from Li June 15th and waiting on QC photos.

I am not in a rush and would rather receive a watch without any issues, just curious about the reason for the delay.

Thank you !

Cheers

You are not alone. I ordered around the same time as you. Heard from Li it's because high demand and slow production rate.

New batch of 2836 version arrived last week. Let's hope we will get 3135 version this week. Cheers

I understand what you mean but for me they seem to be quite gen like.

I just tried to take a pic of my no date in a similar lighting like that above photo of gen and looks same to me:

This is date in the evening (no direct bright sunlight):

No date in daylight inside a car:

They all look fine and gen like to me.

sadly they all look pretty accurate in daylight but far to dull in low light.

I have done a video showing this clearly amongst other faults on this thread

VR is the name given by us the RWI community here for this movement. It's the same as the SA but the SA movement was first used in VRF factory watches hence the name. It is the same movement. We call it VR they call it SA.

Interesting- thanks for that info I was wondering that myself.

I thought the SA, SH & VR movements were actually all slightly different. From what I remember reading the VR movement is the newest 3135 clone. And some dealers are listing the newer releases (like the noob v10) as having the SA3135 but they are actually VR3135’s.

I’m no expert but maybe someone can chime in if that made any sense.
