I appreciate the advice guys I have cleaned it with dawn and a toothbrush but I will try all suggestions at this point, I am not a watch modder at all I can build anything but I’m not touching trying to charge the bezel , is there a bezel that I can find that can be swapped by a Watchsmith that will be better or are they all about the same

Finally arrived! Yes, the latest batch does seem to have the dimple again, but its not terrible and from what I understand, even the Gens can have it. If it bothers me THAT bad, ill sack up and source a Gen dial

I think it looks great!!

Regarding the dimple, Jtime gave me an answer to my question of the ZZF v2:

"The dimple on the Subs are all the same size.

So there you have it I guess. As some people have mentioned. The size can look bigger or smaller due to the lightning, but the dimple should be in the same size on all ZZF v2

Have you tried cleaning the insert with some lens cleaner soapy water with a toothbrush. They do get dirty

is it just me that thinks ZZF's crown guards are too fat around the base?

The dimple on my ZZF Sub doesn’t really bother me nearly as much as how dark the numbers and stick markers are on the bezel (which to me is getting worse the more I wear the watch) and the clasp, the clasp in my opinion is pretty cheap , but in case anyone is wondering I received my watch and went from the box to my wrist and I wear it everyday and I own a construction business and the watch is not treated delicately, it takes a beating at times but it keeps great time, most afternoons I jump in the pool with it own and have never had a problem, I was loading my boat the other day and stepped off the concrete boat ramp and the watch went completely under water on my wrist and no problem at all, I am impressed with the durability of the watch for sure, I haven’t had it serviced I will if something stops working

IMO, I believe it would be extremely hard for anyone to think it’s a rep on the wrist, I haven’t had anyone comment in the watch one way or the other, most people don’t even notice your wearing a watch much less what kind it is, I know it was talked about many days ago but the grayish which is supposed to be a lot whiter on the bezel is the biggest flaw I notice

Agree, the clam shell is complete junk. It rattles around like a prick in a bucket when unfastened, and I also agree on the markers and bezel looking too dark which is worse in low light. I think this has already been confirmed in previous posts. Be nice if these rep makers could get the colour tone right on these items as my Omega has crappy marker colours too! I gave the bracelet a baby oil bath and it has done wonders for the feel, now very smooth and doesn't rattle on the wrist. All in all it's a decent rep, and just like it's gen counterpart, slightly overrated.

Unless all people you show it to works as a AD that's not true at all... most people have no idea how a Sub look like in detail... however I do understand if the dimple is disturbing you... I'm waiting for mine and I would prefer if it where a bit smaller than I believe it will be.

I believe the dimple is the same as other ZZF's, and as you probably know, it is worse when viewed square on. After nearly two days of wear the markers and bezel look beige to me now!

After comparing ZZF V2 to gen, the only two mods I’m making are a new Prof crystal and Gen ceramic bezel insert. None of the reps are really close on the insert if you compare them side by side, at least to my eye. With these two mods, it would be VERY difficult to tell the watch is not gen on the wrist.

Think there's lots more wrong about the CGs than the base. The slant, the curvature, the tip..

But as for the base itself, when view from the dial facing forward position, looks pretty similar to gen..

A lot of ZZF inserts came dull, like old noob style. Especially in low light, but in general dull. The gen engravings are not dull in low light, the ZZF are too dark in every light that is not bright direct light.
I was therefore asking if it’s still a common problem or it goes from batch to batch.

This is date in the evening (no direct bright sunlight):

No date in daylight inside a car:

They all look fine and gen like to me.

No problems.

If it's a batch issue indeed than both of these watches were bought during the last 1-2 months (no date even has the lower case c4r clasp code like some of the new V2S Hulks).
