Looking for gen inserts the other day on ebay and chrono24 and thought “hmm what if this isn’t gen but a clean factory instead” as they are very close when big side by side
All you would need to do is
A) Hold it in full light
B) Hold it next to a gen
The differences are very obvious (as you can see in my video a few pages back)

That doesn't help him in his dilemma of not knowing if a bezel insert listing is gen or a CF being passed off as gen..
Does anyone have pics of a v2 that they have recieved recently. Mine is on it's way. When reading this thread, it looks like some older v2 have a dimple the size of a crater while some have a more discrete one.
Is there anyone that hasn't got a dimple at all from ZZF v2?
Looking at my QC pics (that I've accepted) I can't see any noticable dimple. Could be that the dial doesn't reflect much from these angles as well.

The dimple is there and its same size for every watch is my guess. They just look to be different size due of the lighting / angle of each photo. I have received two of them recently. One a month ago and the other last week both look the same.

Absolutely, buy from trusted seller or use a payment method that protects you.
Ebay/Paypal is good for this as they do not allow counterfeit items.
i got stung on eBay and claimed a full refund in the same situation
Cheers buddy, I believe they are from what I have seen online but I couldn’t confirm from personal experience sorry.
I guess the TD does that on purpose then to avoid questions or maybe even rejects. I hope the dimple doesn't bother me as much once I get it. As long as gen subs can have it, it shouldn't be an issue.
Does anyone know the "story" behind the dimple on gen? Did Rolex make it for a few batches or years, or why is it only on some?
I've tried to google it but I can only find that it does exist but nothing more concrete..

Small to mid size dimples are on plenty of gens... ZZFs dimples go from medium to xxlarge!!!
I didn’t think of them being all the same size but that could be the cause and the perceived difference being the different picture settings... but I personally think they varying in size and want to make sure the one I buy doesn’t have a giant one.. maybe I offer the TD an extra $20 dollars to find a really good one?? Probably wouldn’t help..

Quick question to experts regarding the SEL recession. If I have two ZZF subs and one has perfect gen like SEL recession and the other not so if I swap the bracelets do I get the same recession with the other watch?
I just don't know is it a case issue, end links issue, spring bar issue or something else that causes the SEL recession to be different on each.

Does anyone know if the SA3135 movement that comes in the ZZF V2 will accept a Gen dial without cutting the feet off? My modder told me he prefers the VR3135? Does anyone know if a VR3135 will fit into a ZZF case? If so, would any TDs be willing to swap the movement out? Last question, do you know of any TDs that are willing to sell parts as I plan to build a Franken and will not need the bezel assembly, crystal, or dial.
