I am seeing more and more new zzf owners complaining about the dull bezel insert in low light. Did ZZF change their manufacturing techniques? Because these new batches of zzf do not seem to have the bright peachy numbers in low light that they had 6 months ago.

I'm also very curious about this, I almost pulled the trigger for this one. But becouse of Carona issues I didn't. Now I read this and I hope ZZF fixed this in a new batch. Also I have reed somewhere that he was waiting for ZZF V3 version. There was no date mentioned. Does somebody know if ZZF has the intention to make a V3 very soon.
They do and there is something going on with the latest batches by my eye.

this was my ZZF V2 when I received it in December, I’m assuming that the bezel insert has faded.
Second Pic is gen insert on my ZZF franken. It does look really close but I think CF inserts are fading.

Of course its fading cause its just a paint not a real metal (platinum) coating

I know it’s paint but i must say it is the best paint I’ve seen on any stock insert it does give a platinum shine like gen when light hits or it’s even better when you use a torch. Close ups of insert reminds me of spongebob insert, But in low light it looks very dull, maybe they need to mix their paint with higher concentrate

I really like my ZZF but the dull bezel is tougher for me to get over than I expected it becomes almost a dark grayish in low light, but besides that on the wrist maybe, just maybe someone who really knows Rolex submariner watches could tell it’s a rep but on the wrist that person would really have to know what to look for

hopefully they get it sorted with v3, but to be honest a gen bezel on a zzf V2 is such a fantastic sub £1k watch we should be happy it exists
