I don’t have a good idea, because my only hope was Molykote Dx and it worked every time with über loud pam rotors on my vsf models. As mentioned I tried it but it didn’t worked as planned. You can always use more but it can easily be over greased and the power reserve will be poor (learned the hard way)
I think the paste is too thick. Moebius oil should be better for the pr

Without having to buy ZF, VSF, ORF and putting the three together, which one would you pick for the green? The only flaw on ZF seems to be the rotor noise because it can only wind one direction. How bad is it? For the ZF owners did you silence the rotor? I hope its not as bad as Miyota 9015.
My ZF is very very loud. Maybe worse than a miyota 8200 I had. Makes it feel much cheaper

Thank you so much! That’s a great review!
You're welcome!

BTW. I held both watches at the same distance and shook them both similarly. I was wrong. The ZF isn't louder. It's the same as the Miyota 9015.
I've also been wearing the ZF a lot now (it's my new favorite and I love it to bits). The rotor noise isn't too bad. In day to day life, out in the wild, it isn't audible. I'm learning to live with it since the look of the watch more than makes up for the rotor noise.
One thing that shocked me is the power reserve. It's crazy how long the watch runs for with minimal wrist time.

I just got my ZF back from rotor silencing and damn. My gen speedy racing is louder! Silencing actually works. I'm so glad I got it done. The only thing I didn't like about the watch is now gone!

I’ve had a White ZF on order since the end of March. No stock seems to be available still from the Factory since the recent raids

I have a vsf with an orf bracelet....I was very happy with it till I read this! That looks great. I have always been super impressed with the vsf seamaster crystal.... but I think that zf looks every bit as good. Shit..... now I have to get one of these....it never ends...
hi - where did you get the ORF bracelet on its own ? I asked a couple of TDs and no enthisiasm to supply

cheers A

Your best bet on an Omega Seamaster bracelet is to snag one in a sales listing with the watch. In my case the seller had the rubber strap and unused bracelet so I made him an offer that was very favorable on his ZF bracelet. I can personally vouch that the ZF bracelet fits a genuine Seamaster 300 diver 42 as I’ve heard the ORF does.

The ZF bracelet is pretty damn good except for the sharp edges. If you polish that out, it's fantastic. I can't imagine how the ORF is actually better. It must be a spectacular bracelet!

I have a genuine bracelet on order and when that comes in will compare it to the ZF all around.

You could normally ask a td if they could get it but orf is currently shut down.

Interesting! I was about to pull the trigger on the ZF but slightly concerned about the loud rotor - i've had loud reps in the past and they barely got wrist time for that reason. If it can be silenced DIY then i dont mind.

I was in the same boat. Loved the watch when I got it but the loud rotor killed it. I sent it to a watchmaker who silenced it. Now it's my absolute favorite watch by far. I have way too many watches but now I can't bring myself to wear anything else except the ZF SMP300.

The silence work is everything, did the same and never looked back. Gets a load of wrist time because of it.

How did you silence it? I've seen posts whereby it's as simple as just adding some specific lube to the bearing on the rotor. Will try it myself but not sure what oil is best. I'll have to research further.

Didn't do it myself, the previous member had it done by one of the watchmakers on here. Makes all the difference

I used Mobius 9104 / HP 1300 oil. You only need a tiny drop on the rotor bearings and then you’re good to go! Recommend that you also get a loupe and an oil applicator so that you don’t risk over oiling or smearing it into the wrong spots on the rotor.
