one step forwards two steps back, there's always something fishy about sending vast amounts of hard earned £$ halfway across the the planet to some random idiot with a fancy website, especially one endorsed by the forum..... I guess that's another discussion about responsibility :censored:
and the 3or4 major forums RWI/RWG/RG/HF are littered with past scammer posts but fools still part with it.

In my own time on the forums I would say that's it now....... from this day on you'll be really fortunate to see any cash/finished watch which will come anywhere near what you've handed over..

hope I'm wrong.

if i payd someone 5k for a hobby project and he ghosts me, after 3 months LATEST he would get a visit. It does not matter where on this planet that would be. Some arms just can reach everywhere for a few extra dollars or aome brotherhood.
I've just managed to catch up on this thread.

You just took the words right outta my gob 'ole.

I am no gambler but I'm willing to bet this twat has been using class A's for a fair while now, and as the shit started to hit the fan the amounts of powder per day have gone up exponentially, he simply doesn't have that money any more and is incapable of getting his head down and fixing the situation.

Let's slow down guys. What I don't want in the thread is wild accusations or hypotheticals.
We have to be very careful to never imply threats of violence. I know you guys know this so I'm writing now before anyone takes this any further.

We should not speculate on if he has the funds paid to him him or not. No reason for us to believe that he doesn't have the funds.

Let's stick to facts.

  • He made promises on time frames that he 100% did not keep.
  • He ghosted his customers when they inquired many months after.
  • He took on more projects when he already had insurmountable loads of work.
  • He continued to market his services even when he couldn't deliver his existing orders in a timely fashion.
  • And it certainly is OK to give personal opinions on the quality of his work (or lack thereof).

Reps are funny. I've said this before and I'll say it again...some reps are rarer than their gen counterparts LOL so FOMO is easy/real and often irrational.

I have fallen victim to FOMO on more than one occasion, including transactions (yes, multiple) with Oascom.

The most recent order, which was finally fulfilled thanks to RWI staff, was a custom black aventurine Daytona dial. I have never seen another black aventurine Daytona dial (then again, I'd never seen a blue aventurine Daytona dial until I started seeing them left/right LOL) and with custom requested print (I wanted a 3 liner and white Daytona text). So while the quality of the dial (print, hour markers) leaves a lot to be desired, I'm actually quite pleased with the dial I received. Maybe it's the honeymoon phase. Maybe not. But I knew the price going in so I can't complain about that.

What I can complain about is the delayed delivery and lack of communication in between.

Honestly, I never looked that closely at the printing on his dials until this thread. I thought the metorite dials in general looked beautiful, but I knew it was not my style so I never looked beyond a passing glance. I'm actually very suprised how those could have been so widely lauded considering how meticulous our comminuty normally is.

Probably a little bit to do with this post. When I look at his examples here, they're honestly very good, maybe a little rough around the edges but almost every meteorite dial has some variation of the dial fitment to the edges. Honestly his examples here for the Pepsi and Daytona are pretty good.

This is my speculation :

1. When Oascam's dials first came out, the competition was less, we only had what, Buff and Oascam? Then for OOTB you only had Noob factory. Between these options Oascam's was the superior option between the 3. As time has gone on, with NNF, SW, RB, and other replica factories jumping in on the meteorite trend, his work doesn't seem that great in comparison now.

2. When Oascam first started, maybe his volume was lower, he was willing to spend more time on them, they were much better done. But the more orders, the more dials, the quality got sloppy and decreased.
