Could you share the specifics of the crown you used (gen reference # or dimensions)? I think I see the Omega symbol? Is it a gen or rep Omega crown (& tube)?
I used this. It's not screw down either, my watchmaker put in a crown tube to replace the one that came on the case as it was too small. Watch passed a 50m pressure test with it after being greased.
It's not exactly the same dimensions, but it's close enough for a cheap build.

Thanks very much; I initially sourced a rep screw down one on AliX, but it is too tall for my liking (4.6mm vs the 3.7mm on the one you sourced).

From looking on the omega forum, the 6.5mm x 3.7mm is very close to being the same spec as an Omega service part replacement.
So, it's definitely passable 👍

My Franken version with Hruodland case.
Really nice watch. Cool you’ve got a 552 running in the case.
My Hruodland should arrive in a couple of weeks. Can’t wait to start the work on the watch. I would like to try salt water etching the case back.
Where did you get the dial and hand set?

I bought a vintage 300 from Hont a while back and used the dial and hands from that. I wasn't too keen on the all white from raffles as it looked too much like a watchco.

Thanks for the info. I will go the raffles route, but will try to relume the dial and hands.

Here is my Hruodland case build.
I relumed the hands & raffles dial and
aged the case and insert. For the moment quite happy with the result.

Nice! At present I’m doing the same build. I aged the dial and hands and roughed up the case and insert. I’d like to have a little better match between the insert (it’s a more brown tone) and the dial and hands so I am attempting to fade the insert a bit by leaving the empty case in the sun daily because I can’t get the darn insert off! I’ve got nothing but time - haha! I’m pretty sure it’s glass so it would probably fracture anyway. Fun bargain build. I really like the shape of the case compared to the other options.

I’ll leave this here-

BiVintage case
NOS service dial
NOS service hands
Gen omega cal 565 mvt
Uncle seiko bracelet
Isn’t the cal 565 the date variant? Are you hiding a datewheel under there or just removed?

My Build:

Dial and hands - Raffles Dials
Omega push-in crown - EBay
PT5000 (2824) movement - AliX

Still need to sand off the Hruodland caseback, but pleased how it turned out.

Nice. I’m closing in on mine. Which size crown tube? I’m waiting on a selection. With the Omega push down crown I bought (same one as above) I believe at will be 2.5mm at the case, 2.30 at the crown.

The one I used was 2.5mm at both ends (case & crown). On the crown, there should be an oring just above where the stem screws in, that should seal inside the tube, and then one at the base of the crown, that should seal the tube end against the crown...but I would not think that's much of a seal.
