Could you share the specifics of the crown you used (gen reference # or dimensions)? I think I see the Omega symbol? Is it a gen or rep Omega crown (& tube)?

From looking on the omega forum, the 6.5mm x 3.7mm is very close to being the same spec as an Omega service part replacement. Thanks very much; I initially sourced a rep screw down one on AliX, but it is too tall for my liking (4.6mm vs the 3.7mm on the one you sourced).
Really nice watch. Cool you’ve got a 552 running in the case.

My Hruodland should arrive in a couple of weeks. Can’t wait to start the work on the watch. I would like to try salt water etching the case back.
Where did you get the dial and hand set?
Nice! At present I’m doing the same build. I aged the dial and hands and roughed up the case and insert. I’d like to have a little better match between the insert (it’s a more brown tone) and the dial and hands so I am attempting to fade the insert a bit by leaving the empty case in the sun daily because I can’t get the darn insert off! I’ve got nothing but time - haha! I’m pretty sure it’s glass so it would probably fracture anyway. Fun bargain build. I really like the shape of the case compared to the other options.
How do the cases feel? Does the bezel click nice?
Isn’t the cal 565 the date variant? Are you hiding a datewheel under there or just removed?I’ll leave this here-

Nice. I’m closing in on mine. Which size crown tube? I’m waiting on a selection. With the Omega push down crown I bought (same one as above) I believe at will be 2.5mm at the case, 2.30 at the crown.
The one I used was 2.5mm at both ends (case & crown). On the crown, there should be an oring just above where the stem screws in, that should seal inside the tube, and then one at the base of the crown, that should seal the tube end against the crown...but I would not think that's much of a seal.Nice. Oh I have that Hruodland watch. I guess I know what I have to do now
