Okay perfect thank you!Would require a TON of reshaping. Better to use an alix watch

Okay thank you, I appreciate it. I'll look into the cartel cases.I asked Trusty and he could source a 300 cartel
Haven’t done it yet as I don’t have much time on the bench
You can also ask @369mafia to build you one
ThanksA YouTube review I viewed showed the measurements as: Diameter 40.8 mm (appeared to measure at the bezel), outside lug to outside lug 47.7mm, case height 13.1mm and 20mm lug widths.
I have one on its way which tracking shows has cleared inbound Customs so I can drop back to the thread and confirm those measurements, and any others, that is if no one beats me to it.
Cheers
Thanks. Definitely some back and forth getting the movement to fit in. I basically used a 2824 movement holder as a spacer for in between the movement and existing movement holder. I had to keep sanding down the thin movement holder until it fit snugly inside the existing NH36 movement holder (you may have to sand off the usual bumps that align the holder with a 2824-2 movement). I even cut the 2824 movement holder on one side enlarged the area where the stem comes through just to make assembly easier. It sounds kind of like I duct taped it in - haha, but once it goes together it fits very securely. Using the existing NH35 holder assures that the movement and dial are secure in the case when the casebook is screwed down. I'm sure there is a much easier way to do it but that's what worked for me. And yes, I agree, very comfortable on the wrist. It really is a nice looking watch IMHO!Repdoc3,
tonnes of patiences put nto masking up the lume pit there, looks great and the watch looks awesome.
Be interested to know what sort of work was required on the Alix 2824 movement holder make the movement fit.
And for Motorhead13, as accurate as I can be: the length of the Hroudland is, 47.67ish mm, bezel outside diameter 40.77 mm, outside case, including crown 44.46 mm, sans crown 41.94 mm, height 13.2mm, bezel outside diameter 40.75 m.
Obviously mine arrived, really is a comfortable watch to wear, now to go through the parts list and gather what is needed.

Can you share the link to the tube on cousins please? Was it plug and play or did you have to do any drilling?
It was one that comes in this set of varying lengths...Can you share the link to the tube on cousins please? Was it plug and play or did you have to do any drilling?
I was thinking of using an NH38 tooIs there a reason why you went for 2824 instead of NH38 ?
I guess it has a bit to do with the plastic ring on the NH's, together with the stated accuracy rating of each -20 to +40 for NH vs -12 to +30 for the 2824. Then did research on the various versions of 2824 clones and read some positive aspects on the PT5000 when tested in Switzerland. I've built now at least 10 watches with the PT5000 and have yet to have a problem with the keyless on any of them. So they're a little more expensive at around $45US, but not that much more than NH's.Is there a reason why you went for 2824 instead of NH38 ?

I also like that the stem heights for the 2824 are very close to that of 313x's - so that expands the options for movements to build/repair Rolex reps.
So in summary, it's not so much a dislike of the NH's (my 1st 2 builds were NH38 sub homages), but rather my preference for the PT5000's.
No problem at all! I left the nh35 in there for the time being, to keep costs down and for ease as I could use the original plastic movment holder etc. I may at some point swap it out for an nh38 to remove the ghost date.Looks great, and the grey watch band (NATO?) really suits. Couple of questions if you dont mind, .....What movement and dial combination did you use, and did you resort to painting the seconds hand?
I have all my ETA suitable parts and just waiting the the watch tube pusher tool to arrive to give it a go at putting it together.
