I had a chance to play with the bracelets, and measure, and the VSF end link is barely larger than the ARF lug width on one end of the bracelet. We are talking .08 or so Mm.

Point is, I can’t use the SELs from VSF on one side of the ARF head without removing the smallest Amt of material, which is on I suppose, it will fit perfectly if I commit to that as a whole. But I’d still like the choice of putting the ARF end links back on, and VSF back on its head, which will no longer be an option.

I think, the absolute best thing to do, would just be swap inserts and keep the ARF with VSF insert. Done. I think lol.

After a long time spent observing the vsf with 20x lenses, the Chinese assembly with arf pieces and several video review of the original one, I came to the decision of which pieces to use to have a better one, with at least one compromise, also because for now it's all theoretical, but the watches are already at my watchmaker's.

Crystal gen.
VS movement
ARF case and bracelet ( but VSF rehaut is better)
VSF caseback (hope can fit cause the engraved of other one is horrible).
VSF dial and hands
VSF insert
ARF bezel
VSF crown

I like your list and could go almost the polar opposite on all items. Which proves to me how close these really are.

I find the rehaut on the VSF way too “wokky” and almost too tall. The angle is certainly, noticeably odd.

The insert is perfect, but the ARF dial I feel is a better matte grey per gen. The ARF bezel feel is stiff but precise, the VSF feels blah.

It’s just amazing to me we could both be examining these watches so closely for so long and still can’t completely agree on what’s best. I guess they both are really great. Pix of wokky rehaut below.

Is the gen dial on the SD43 black or does it have a slight grey tone to it?
I think mine is an ARF and the dial is not black.

The proper gen dial is like a really dark charcoal grey, appearing black in most light and almost a metallic/satin grey in others.

ARF is more dark grey than VSF, but both do it pretty well. (ARF is more accurate to the GENs I’ve seen)

Reference pix for different dial colors depending upon angle of light….

Two of the above pix are the XF, which is identical to the VSF with the exception of the insert (you can tell which is XF by the super deep rehaut)

In order it’s ARF, ARF, ARF, XF, XF, ARF, ARF.

If you can’t tell, look at the serial # in the rehaut. 👍🏻

you are certainly more experienced than me. the evaluation on the rehaut is at the limit, and in any case I will use the arf case. but the caseback engraving is really poor. also about the case and the bracelet there are many indications that it is arf, but the rest I don't know. it is a Chinese assembled.

I’m sure you’re going to deny this, but I will remind you how easily these crack when being removed improperly.
sorry, but frankly I don't understand your attitude. why should I ever deny it?
I want to remind you instead that I am not your competitor and I am not a watchmaker. I don't do these jobs.

No attitude, sorry if it came off that way, I mean to say I’m sure you will feel it came off correctly but it’s evident that didn’t happen.

Not meaning to make you feel bad bro, I’m sorry if I did, I should have said negate or something like that. 👍🏻👍🏻

Sucks either way, and sourcing a gen insert is 2300 bucks and VSF or ARF inserts are impossible to find. The only SD43 insert available is noob and the reason it’s available is because no one wants it lol.

I have just asked for this one

If not, I'll be satisfied with the cracked one.
