Hi all, I'm interested in getting an omega seamaster from VSF, but I've saw this video on geektime that says that for reps the crown rotation is clockwise but on genuine pieces it's counter clockwise. So just curious if the V2 have fixed this issue?
I actually see what you mean now. On the gen, you have to turn the crown counterclockwise to change the date (which is weird to me). I found a video on YT showing this on a gen.
Rep is the opposite. Clockwise turn moves the date.
I guess this is a flaw then.
amazing that it took 3 years to find this flaw. hahahah
LOL I know right?
Well I am sure many/some knew already. It's hard to find a video review of gens where the host actually unscrews the watch to adjust time. It is quite odd to me that the date is adjusted by turning the crown counterclock wise but maybe some of my other watches do this too. I just never pay attention.
So the flaw is with the date only?
The minute/hour hands advance when turning counterclockwise in both gen and rep?
I think the crown rotation has been mentioned here long ago. If you want to see that as a flaw, then the BPS is also a flaw, lol. Gen is 25200 (7), and the rep is 28800 (8).
Just received a blue one from an m2m c&r sale, what a fantastic looking watch, to my eyes the lume looks white and the hand seem to match, I’ll upload some pics tomorrow when I have better light.
It came with the rubber strap aswell, because of the weight I wanted to fit it but no matter how long I tried I could get the spring bars to lock in properly, I got one side in and the second side felt and sounded as though they click in but easily pulled out. So in frustration I put the steel bracelet back on and clicked and locked in first time, has anyone else had this problem with rubber straps and would different pins make any difference?

Bent springbars should work with the rubber strap but not with bracelet, correct?it has been discussed quite a bit in this thread. Apparently the best way is using bent springbars. Or ge a tool to bend springbars your self.

Hey guys,
Can I get your opinion on the QC pics of my watch?
I'm afraid the lume on the hands is too yellowish/greenish.
I've seen VSF Seamasters with better white lume so I'm not sure whether to RL/GL.
Also the bezel finishing at 20 looks odd to me, but maybe that's just the lighting.
