The Rubber is very good. Please take pics before and after the re-lume. I personally don't think it is needed, but hey, go for it and let us know how it turns out. I don't think it is a terrible idea or anything... just don't think it is worth the effort.

I will decide when I have it on my wrist and see it in person. I am thinking about the grey or black dial .... so I dont think the different shade is so noticeable. But lets see.
If I will make a relume I will def make some before/after photos and upload them.

thanks for the info about the strap.

I am not sure yet if I should get this one "2018 Seamaster Diver 300M SS/RG VSF 1:1 Best Edition RG Bezel Black Dial" or this one "2018 Seamaster Diver 300M VSF 1:1 Best Edition Blue Ceramic Gray Dial on Blue Rubber Strap" ... any Ideas on the quality of the RG coating?

Well, first of all there are some advantages to each one of these, the RG seems to have a less “yellow” lume but has an inaccurate bezel engraving, while the SS bezel is 99% on point.

I have the grey myself, but SS black dial on rubber looks like the safest choice.

I have seen in an side by side review that the rep has an 3D like engraving in the bezel and the gen not. Is it what you are talking about?
Its just that I tried the black with RG Bezel today at an AD and really loved the watch.

Nice looking watch. Thanks for the pic!

How is the quality of the rubber strap (Haptic, is close to gen)?
When I get this watch I will also ask my Watchmaker to make a relume on it. Its around 80 Euros incl taking the dial out and in. I think its a fair price and it will make the watch much more gen alike.

Yeah i agree with everyone else. Personally i dont think a re-lume is required. It looks good enough irl anyway. But your watch, your choice :D

I dunno looks white enuf for me but then again I have 3 of the earliest releases (2 Black and 1 Grey). This one just got back from 12 marker realignment and 4-5 ATM waterproofing.Strodda

Looks amazing. Yeah I have seen the 12 o clock marker can be an issue sometimes. lets hope mine is ok.

Hey guys, what do you think is going on with the 6 marker here? Looks off to the left compared to the 30 on the bezel despite all else being aligned. Or is the dial rotated? Is this enough to RL? Other than that Looks like this one has nice 12 markers and datewheel alignment.

The bottom and the right side are a little further away from the camera than the top and left. This causes the markers @9 & 6 on the bezel to appear to be off from the dial, but it actually just like bit should be. This is an optical illusion that is caused by the fact that it is such a close up pic and the pic not being taken exactly straight on.

Looks good to me.

Thanks for the help, upon more QC pics you are spot on, everything is perfectly aligned. I guess this is a good FYI for anyone who finds the same!

You are welcome & welcome to the forum.

Yes, this is a really common thing. I am sort of into photography and there are a few things like this that people that are new to this have not seen before. One thing you really have to remember, as someone that is new to this, is that these pics that you are seeing are magnified like 5x, 10x or even 20x what you see in real life and many little details you see in pics will not be seen in real life. Many times you see someone post something like this "I can't live with this or that obvious flaw." or "I can't unsee this glaring tell." If you like the watch, most of the time you should just accept what ever little flaws there are and be happy to wear something you like wearing. Don't worry about what anyone else thinks. If you exclude Rolex from my next comment I think it is pretty spot on. 99% of the people have no knowledge of what the gen looks like and even of those that do, 99% of those wouldn't know what the tells are and of those that do, 99% of those wouldn't ask you to remove your watch and inspect it with a loop. I am not saying we shouldn't point out mistakes or that we should just accept all flaws, but at the same time often times people get a little out of hand with their nit picking.

I'll make another comment on TD's. I would say the little 1 or 2 man shop like the ones I mentioned above will, in my opinion, give you a better buying experience. In a very non traditional type of transaction I like warm and fuzzy a lot more than cold and hard.....
just sayin

Use your credit card for the extra protection it provides

i know this is a different company but it taught me to always use a credit card for the extra protection it provides.

Transferwise takes money from my bank account and sends it to dealers' bank account, no questions asked.

We're extremely off topic here, this thread is about the Seamaster. I think we better stick to it.

I'm really sorry for the late reply and I'm sorry if I got off topic, I didn't mean to do it. :(

But thank you all for the help, I really appreciate it! :D
And I ordered the watch from Mary today using TransferWise (it was really easy and convenient).

I'm looking forward and I'm eager to get the watch! I really hope that I just get a good one. I will hopefully get my QC pics this week. :)

Hello! I just got my QC, but is it just me or does the lume on the second line atlooks a bit weird?? It looks like the Lume is spreading a bit over the line. Or is it just my eyes?

What do you mean by second line? It's hard to tell any lume defects from these low res pics.

i like it, looks awesome. But i never seen the black one (first pic) with a dial like that. The "Seamaster" text is white instead of red? and the second hand doesnt have the red tip aswell.

And The Black one (first pic) is the RG Version. --> no red printing.

Add on: The purley black one is the 43.5mm version, it has no red printing. This Grey looking dial is the way it looks in different angles on the ceramic/titanium version.
