Is the lume on the gen spectre a snow white? I have never seen one in the flesh.

No, not at all, it's brownish "vintage" lume.

The lume on the 300 SMP is supposed to be white, I just added a pic for a comparison. It's just my bloody Huawei P20 pro that can't pick up colors...

The lume is not as white as gen, but it's not all that yellow. It looks very white compared to the lume on Spectre.

I would now put the Seamaster 300 on a rubber strap and use the Spectre with the bracelet.
Stunning pieces.

Cheers

Thats the impression I had, that it was supposed to be a vintage off white colour. Looks like a great rep! How is the dial?

I have a couple of the seamaster's. The SS version and the Sedna. Both are very good but the sedna has whiter lume.

The dial looks just like gen, I see no difference at all. I like the movement, it must have a monster PR. I gave it a gentle shake and it ran for hours. The bezel is bi-directional and it has a different click than the 300. The watch is a bit smaller and it wears lovely on my 18.5cm wrist.

Not much love for the white one? I thought that was almost a super rep?

My white is in the mail currently. Personally, I'd say the biggest bummer with the lume isn't the lume color itself, but that there is difference between the lume color in the hands and lume of the markers. If I'm remembering correctly, the first variant of the white dial had the same lume color throughout, though the issue of mismatched hands & markers slowly became the new norm. Regardless -- I still went with it and am pumped for it to arrive.

I've been wondering if there is actually a yellowgold version of the VSF Omega Seamaster with the blue bezel... I know that OMF produces it but I was not able to find a VSF version... there's only the rosegold version I could find. Does anyone know if VSF will ever release it?

Hey all,

Got my first QC pictures of my seamaster... I've asked for a few more pictures to clarify the dial. It looks incredibly yellow. I'm hoping if she can take some pictures in natural light it might help. But there is such a contrast from the white of the bezel to the dial. I'm hopeful, the date wheel looks a bit to the left too but I think that's mainly optical illusion... meh we'll see what the next pictures bring anyway. I'm hopeful!

I’ve always thought the markers on the blue have always appeared more yellow than against the grey and black dials, but it’s just the contrast. Looks good to me.

yes it is, gen datewheel looks exactly the same

Thanks both, yeah I've read most of this thread, so I get that it's a common "complaint" that's why I didn't RL it, just asked for a picture in different lighting, just to double check it isnt like bright yellow lol. All likelihood its fine, but best to be sure.

I'll update this with a new picture if she is able to get me one in natural lighting and we'll see. Chances are I'll be GLing it tomorrow anyway as I said in my first post, everything else seems fine. Looking forward to it!

I’d also say the insert looks like it could do with being moved 1 second counter clockwise within the bezel to make it line up properly with the outer edge of the bezel. Maybe I’m being a bit picky but the markers should be central to the corresponding flat edge of the scalloped bezel.

I literally just got my qc images for my grey dial and it has an identical issue (I think) my TD says he will send me a photo of the watch from directly above just to be sure the photo angles and my eyes aren’t recovering me? They aren’t are they?

Moving the insert 1 or 2 mm anti clockwise within the steel bezel would make it line up nicely.

Very hard to see but once you see it on the wrist you can’t unsee it, every time you look at the watch if you know what I mean!!

Probably a very easy fix based on the bezel assembly but not sure how easy these bezels actually pop off. So Id want mine right before they post it to me.

Mine is off to the right exactly like the blue one above. At first I thought it would bother the crap out of me, but low and behold, it doesnt. Theres so much prettyness going on on the dial that you will not notice that at all. You have to focus on that. The worst for me is my SEL sitting so low. Thats why I have mine on a Nato now. Cant unsee that shit

Nope, it‘s the rose gold version. I‘m looking for the yellowgold version.

Very weird that VSF still doesn‘t produce it... can‘t be that hard, I mean they have the black yellowgold version.

I asked sead and Li from Jtime and they both said VSF doesn‘t produce the blue yellowgold seamaster.

They know damn good and well what sells and what doesn't. If they think it's not profitable - forget about it. It's that easy. Rep makers are not watch enthusiasts, they're businessmen.

Has anyone has gotten their white dial VSF delivered within the last month? I'm curious if the hands look as green in real life as they do in the pictures? I know it's a common problem with the recent batch and the QC photos I just received look very green.
