That's an awesome build bro. Do you know if there were any mods needed to fit the VR3185 into the Noob case?

You could do a paint mod on the insert markers to make them silver. Digging out the white paint first is necessary on those shallow marker aftermarket ones.
It's worth doing IMO. The blue color on yours is nice.

Hi KJ2020 - Yes, my watchmaker had to make a custom movement holder to fit the VR3185 in the Noob case.

Regarding Insert, My closest colleague at work has a gen. So I get to stare at it for hours everyday. I did go through lots of research from paint mods (thanks for sharing) to having platinum mod inserts from spongebob and ussadain. In fact, I have one with me from ussadain and almost bought from spongebob. In the end, all of them are nowhere near gen. So I decided to leave it simple and wish for getting a gen some day.

Makes sense. I spent a bunch of time chasing a solution too. I heard a rumor that CF was working on a Batman insert, it wouldn't take much to get one pretty close. Black/blue is easier than Blue/red I think.

That’s music to my ears. If the CF insert is as good as their Daytona one, I am game.

What insert would they use, Noob? If so, do it man but insist on VRF hands.

Its like lottery with these chinese guys, i have no control over the mixing of parts, plus not sure noob pepsi bezel fits that case.. for now i can enjoy my one and only 126710 batman vrf 3185 jubilee and wait for Sx3185 pepsi launches if any! its just the beginning of a new age for this breakthrough vrf gmt movement...like the noob daytona

True that. The Noob Pepsi insert will fit, you don't need the whole bezel. I think it may be some time before another factory can make a Pepsi insert as good as the Noob. That's why they can charge so much and get away with it.

Good luck, please keep us posted!!

If you want my opinion (not that it matters), go with VRF. Because of the spring mechanism used in the 3186 jumping hour module (which ARF has cloned), it is weaker than than the 3185 (which VRF uses). Also, My watchmaker was pretty impressed with the VR3185 finish and quality. This was expected given their quality on the VR3135.

Just wanted to confirm something with regards to VRF's GMT movement. On the deco plate, it states 3186 but it seems as though (from comments above) that VRF's movement is more stable as it is actually cloning the 3185?

Correct, VR3185 has been used by TD ads. It has the more reliable 3185 jumping hour click spring.

Hi, sorry if this has been answered.

KJ2020 and chiccovn were discussing about the new VR3185 movement in an old CHS case. And srhoque also showed his franken with a VR3185 movement in a Noob V10 case.

So does this mean that both the VR3185 and VR3186 movements should fit into an CHS case without problems or modding? I remember a discussion on another thread saying that the crown tube position in a Noob Pepsi case is different, which will prevent swapping the CHS movement with the newer VR movements. And yet here we have 2 examples of movement swaps into a CHS case.

If the VR3185/86 movements can fit a CHS case, then that's great news.

Also, would the CHS hands fit the VR3185/86 movements too?

Hi in my case, i am not so sure it is a CHS eta based case, what others pointed out here is change of dial to match jubilee bracelete (126720 dial for jbl) .. so the case may still be VRF case..

The New VR/ARF movements would at the very least need a custom movement holder to fit in an ETA 2836 case, as the 3185/6 movements need centering. I can't say firsthand about the stem heights but I hope to have one soon to work with. As far as hands go, the 2836 CHS hands do not have the same size hand holes, some modding would be needed on the pinions or the hands. Gen hands fit on the rep 3185/6 movement without modding.

If you can check the lug engraving for model number, that will provide a clue. VRF is engraved with 126710, perhaps in a foreshadowing of updates to come (dial and bracelet).

Hi!

It's not the case with any of my VRFs. I've had the LN and the Batman. Both of them had 116710 engraved in between the lugs.

Interesting, the one occb2 reviewed was engraved 126710.
