My watch movement just broke, after the first week of wearning. The hands (all of them) move up and down while adjusting time, the minute hand is blocking (colission with indices). Everything grindes when setting the time.

Does any one know, where i get a gen eta2892? There are to many fake ones out there. Thanks for the help!:)

That sucks. :(

I haven’t heard anyone mention having a bad experience like this before. Did you buy it from a TD or some other random source?

For a simple 3 hand with date and closed caseback a Miyota 9015 is the best movement to use imho.

Honestly being here 10+ years - this is the single movement that has never ever failed me.

Same for me for the A2892.
Plus I don't think you can swap the datewheel on the miyota without an overlay.

sounds really good. But there is the datewheel issue. I need a movement which i can fit the rep datewheel.

My movement also seems to have issues within 2 weeks of receiving the watch - when i put the stem into the date change position and try to update it, nothing happens. The hands move when i change the date in the 3rd stem position, but the watch no longer runs, and when i shake the watch, the seconds hand hobbles but the watch doesnt actually start... I guess I need to find a watch maker in my city that handles reps...

That's actually not a bug but a feature - it's called hacking.
Nah as in, the hands move when setting the time but it is dead otherwise. Trying to set the date on the 2nd stem position also does nothing. Even when I handwind to charge the watch in the first stem position, completely dead no matter how much I turn it.

The one I have been waiting for is a titanium with blue dial. I would even buy two and make them into one if I need to. It would just be the perfect watch to me.
