Something in between actually. Not matte, not glossy. Hard to say because of the pattern. The Aqua dial looks way more shiny in certain light conditions as you roll your wrist.

So I'm about to put an order for this watch with my seller.

I went for the Aqua colour, as I'm going for a White AP.

Is there anything my seller can do to try to better QC the bracelet/clasp? I'm not entirely sure how the defect shows itself, to even be able to ask for photos on QC.

Any tip is appreciated. Thanks

It doesn't show in QC photos. It either works or it doesn't. QC person should just test it, but it's often challenging to communicate that in a way they would understand.

Exactly, it looks fantastic in the videos but in person, aside for the beautiful movement, it did nothing for me. The reasons why are hard to put down in short form. Firstly, the size is large. I thought the black color would absorb it somewhat but coming from an Ingenieur 40 it is a big watch on the wrist. Second, the finishing of the ceramic. It is supposed to be matte, which they tried to achieve by first brushing the surface and then sandblasting it to kill the shine. The result looks good on camera but to me is just boring in person. I much prefer what AP or Hublot among others have been doing with black ceramics in terms of different finishes. Even IWC's own pilot range ceramic finish feels better. This is lacking in contrast and the light doesn't really catch the surface in any meaningful way. Obviously, others will have a different opinion but for me this is it. Oh, and finally i found the 42 ceramic bracelet feeling flimsy. I know much of this is likely due to the lightness of the ceramic but the watch would need a thicker bracelet IMO.
