Congrats! (y)(y)

A gen dial wouldn't be bad at all (more for other colors to be honest, black looks very accurate as it is) but I am afraid we would need to cut the dial feet.
Not sue if iwc 32111 caliber has the same dial feet position as eta2892. In any case it would be probably difficult (and expensive too) to get a gen iwc dial.

I am afraid the feet are located differently as the manufacturer is not the same (Val Fleurier)

Hi guys
Really beautiful pics here
Do you know how the textured dial, especially the Aqua, compares to gen, notably in the sun ?
Thx

Therion666’s advice is correct; you can find many helpful pics in this thread.

But to my recollection, I don’t think any pics of rep and gen aqua dial side-by-side, under the same lighting, have been posted.

Yeah, there are none, if I remember correctly. The factory hasn't provided any side by side pics either. It's a nice color, but I think that the black one is still your safest bet. I see absolutely zero difference to gen, nothing. Especially if you get a perfect unit. Like I did 😁 After seeing some photos of the Aqua on Watchuseek and different review blogs, I don't think that the rep is just there yet, there's something off about it... One should really see them IRL side by side to be able to judge.

I don't understand the need to recognize it? Just ask your TD for a V7F and you'll get a V7F. They are called TDs for a reason, don't worry 👍
Well, sometimes mistakes happen to TDs, too. And I'm speaking out of experience.

First of all, if it's a V7F it should have the V7F sticker in the back. Then you could open it and have a look at the movement. V7F comes with an A2892 which is easy to spot.

No. GHF is very obvious. Look at the screws and bezel on GH vs V7. Miles apart.

Yeah, this sticker was on both of my V7F Ingenieurs ( black and white dial ). They both also came with a black IWC warranty card and a hangtag for IWC Mark XX LPP 😁 I guess that's how you know they're proper V7F 🤣
