I was eagerly awaiting this, but unfortunately I'm a little disappointed, as I was before with the Aqua Dial. The color is not right and it lacks the metallic shine and a certain saturation!
Well, I wasn't expecting a 1:1 copy of a 10k watch, but for the fact that the rest of the watch is so well made, the dial could have been a bit better.

What's wrong with the aqua color? There was a side by side comparison a while ago that showed color was spot on other than not having as much of the dimensionality that the gen does in the sun, but honestly, is so angle/light dependent that does not feel callout-able

I again went to a local IWC dealer two days ago, was sporting my aqua. Obviously not comparing side by side, but the aqua is nearly identical to the gen. After leaving the store I couldn´t point any difference in dial color.
Case, bracelet are 1:1 exactly from a distance. Couldn´t be happier. Consider also that boutique lighting and showcase pictures are not precisely your day-to-day lighting conditions.

maybe the boutique lighting really makes a difference, but in everyday life I found the rep Aqua dial too boring and I had to sell it. Which I soon regretted. that's why I was hoping for the blue one. but the Aqua was much better.
or maybe I'm just mentally disturbed.

Debating taking this apart and just spraying some clearcoat on it.
I am over the initial stages of getting a new watch and yes the dial is a bit too matte compared to gen.
I will be waiting for V7F to update the blue dial or release the titanium model.....and that will be my first IWC rep !
Don't do it!
The clear coat will likely partially fill the engraved lines and the dial won't look good

Funny. I was just looking into how thick the layer of coat would be.
Maybe i jusy need to order a different dial for this watch

On some level (just because I really want one, I guess) I was hoping, that the color would pop more in sunlight.
Weeeeellll apparently it doesnt.
So, since Ive got plenty of black watches, I got to start thinking about the white one - or the aqua one, even if that one has the polished center links I dont care for

What about the "new" bracelet clasp Pilot style? Are the TDs going to release it? I have had two black ones, never had an issue with it, but I was always afraid...
I've seen some fellow members buying replacement clasps over eBay and so, but the Pilot clasp style that would be a game changer also for the micro adjustment I believe

I was pretty excited about the blue version, but still prefer the good ol' black one. I just love the contrast, the legibility and versatility, I think it's perfect 
I was also exited about the blue version, but what I have seen so far from the photos I am bit disappointed. I hope they will do a version 2 of the blue dial. If not, I also think that the black and aqua versions are the best ones.

Lol. I still really like the watch. Ill just order a new dial if they ever revise it.
I ordered one that is on the way. I really hope V7 reps the gray titanium Ingenieur.
