Open the caseback, look if you have any screw that is floating freeely. It happens sometimes; that screw is going to stop the rotor

Assuming it's a power reserve issue and it's not stopping because there's not enough clearance between hands and crystal (does the hand stop all the time in the same position?) or because something floats in the case blocking the balance wheel:

1. Ask a watchmaker to check it and fix it
2. Replace the movement on your own, if you have tools and a basic knowledge you can make it. If you consider the watch a keeper, consider to upgrade to a swiss movement (SW300 or ETA2892)
3. Sell it at a loss

What you can do on your own is: opening the case back and check if something like a spare screw or tab randomly blocks the balance wheel.

Move your arm more while wearing it. Or add supplemental winding manually. I suggest trying these simple approaches before resorting to more drastic solutions.

When he wears it normally and it stops while wearing or in the night after a whole day of normal wear - thats not normal. I would certainly check it out by at least opeing the case.

The movement should work without doing jumping jacks ...

If I have a couple consecutive work days where I don’t stray much from my desk, my Omega PO rep will stop on my dresser overnight. I’m just saying it’s easy to make sure it’s well wound and see if the performance changes. But you’re also right that the next easy step should be taking a peek under the hood.

**My thoughts**

Context
: This is not an exhaustive review, but merely my thoughts. I usually wear daily tool watch-style watches that are relatively under the radar. For most part, I have been wearing the Clean Rolex Explorer I (36) for the longest time.

When I first heard IWC was bringing back the Ingy, but in the true spirit of how Genta designed it for them, I was excited. When it did get released, I was a little disappointed. I don't know why, I mean what was I expecting?! I don't know, maybe something with a bit more wow factor.

The watch online looked a bit dated I suppose. I also did not like the crown - looks like an afterthought.

HOWEVER, I decided to visit the IWC store and try them on. In the flesh it is a different beast. It just clicked/connected with me. The size, proportions and build quality. It also had curves, looking at it sideways. It is a beautifully constructed watch.

The rep:

Pros: Faithfully replicated. Love the AR'd crystal. The markers. The dial. The heft. The overall design is done perfectly. The Asian movement is smooth and thus far keeping good time.

Cons: Lume is poor. Crown still an afterthought (imo) but functions well of course. I think the datewheel font that IWC decided to use is silly (but I can live with it). The issues others have faced with the clasp is sticking in my mind (luckily I can buy a replacement clasp and fix myself potentially).

Summary: This is staying in my collection and will be used as a daily for now. So impressed.

I think my only gripe is the lack of micro adjusting on the bracelet. Doesn’t seem to matter what combination of links you have, the sizing doesn’t ever seem to be ‘perfect’. Not for me at least
