I am thinking to get a no-date sub from VSF. But it's really tough to decide between the 114060 and the 124060. Since they added the VS3230 movement (without the ghost date) to the 124060 it's even tougher. From the looks I have a slight preference towards the 124060. Regarding the movement I tend to the 114060. Or is the VS3230 as reliable as the VS3130? Any other pro's and con's I should consider?

We don't really know yet since it's so new. Theoretically, the VS3230 should be one of the best clone movements. But as with all replicas, it is only as good as the Chinese dude who assembled it.

These movements for VSF subs are mostly reliable.... very low repair rate... stop worrying and get one

Ok they break, swap it out with a VR3230 or just sell it M2M at a loss and then buy a new one.

Replica movement is simply just luck of the draw. Get a good one or bad one it depends on the mood of the chinese dude who made your watch. In fact this goes for the whole watch itself. Even the bracelet feel between VSF 114060 batches varies wildly.

If you can't accept these things just... don't buy a replica....

For VSF subs, stop overthinking it. Get the one you want.

Although the dial on the 12 series is .3mm larger in diameter, the 11 series is larger and has more wrist presence due to the maxi case.

12 series dial+bezel = 40.5mm
11 series dial+bezel = 40.2mm

12 series case = 26.7mm
11 series case = 27.5mm

The 114060 is more robust and wears larger.
The 124060 is more refined and wears sleeker.

You can break-even when you sell it in parts. I've had it happen before, didn't lost a lot of money on it. Wasn't cheaper to buy a new VR movement.

I will preface this by saying I have a 114060 and a 126610, both from VSF.

I prefer everything about the 11 series besides the lugs. More compact dial, slightly smaller bezel, and, mostly importantly, a slimmer bracelet. The extra 1mm of width added to the 12 series makes more of a difference in terms of overall wrist feel and the way it wears IMO. The wider bracelet just makes the whole thing feel bigger to me and gives the watch a bigger wrist presence. It does balance the weight better and makes the watch feel less top heavy though. That being said, the 12 series looks much less brutish and dresses up better because of the lugs.

In a perfect world I'd throw the dial, guts, and bracelet from an 11 into the case of of a 12 for the slimmer lugs. Since that's not easily achievable AFAIK, the conclusion I've come to is that I (obviously) prefer the 11 for no date and the 12 for date. The latter is a more casual "tool watch", while the former is a bit more versatile "jack of all trades" kinda watch IMO.

I have received my no date yesterday from sead , I myself prefer the thinner lugs , dunno, feels more classic and less bulky even though it’s a 41. I have an older Gen bluesy and it feels no different to that when wearing it. Each to their own though of course , both like nice either way .
