Hi all, just had my first QC for a VSF 114060 with VS1310..

My question to all you experienced buyers is should the QC show pictures of the movement? Or is this not usually done? Its my first set of QC so unsure.

Other than that I'm happy with the QC but wanted to make sure correct movement will be installed before its sent over. (I have been assured it will.)

Thanks in advance, Cheers.

Usually the dealer will not take photos of the movement during QC. However, you can ask the dealer to remove the caseback and take a few pictures, as it is an easy thing to do. I wouldn’t worry about the movement if you are using a trusted dealer from this board.

Thanks for that Makoberry, I couldn't find shots of the movement from OPs QC so thought it might be standard not to send, just my first time assessing..

Yep TD from here and quick to respond.. Elliott at Andiot Watches.. all positive so far... when asked if he could provide mvnt pics he replied.."Sorry we won't be able to remove the back as it will be taking a while to finish that"

I would have thought it would just be taking the back cover off ? Anyway happy with QC pics and videos so will probably pull the trigger on it.

Hello friends. Today I received my Rolex Submariner Date 41mm from VSF, the latest version from TD Trustytime.

After playing with it a bit and removing the plastic (I still have some left), I've noticed the following about the bracelet:

1. Each link is very lightweight and doesn't weigh much.

2. There's no shine or "reflection" in the central part of each link.

3. The bracelet makes a lot of noise when moving; in fact, it squeaks when I rotate my wrist. I've compared it to my Daytona, and it's clear that the Daytona has superior shine, a much heavier bracelet, and no squeaking at all. My Daytona is from Clean Factory V3.

My question is: Have I been given a different bracelet than the one from VSF?
Should I request a replacement?"

Thank you very much!

1. The case on a Sub is quite heavy and that is why the bracelet feels light. It also helps to keep an even balance when wearing.
2. The Sub that you purchased doesn't come with polished centre links like the Daytona. So you are all good with the bracelet being brushed as per gen.
3. Take some liquid dish soap and lather it all over the bracelet, then use warm water to clean all the soap off and make sure not to submerge your watch because there is a good chance it's not waterproof. This will help remove whatever you have in between links and will with the squeaking.

There is nothing wrong with your bracelet and don't need to ask the TD for a replacement. Think you should have done some research on the Sub before purchasing it. There is only 220 pages to this thread that could have benefited you a lot.

Thank you! I’ll follow your instructions with soap and warm water
I’m very satisfied with the watch, the click sound when moving the wheel is incredible, correct weight…but it is clearly lighter than the bracelet of the Daytona

Is this typical for a VSF 124060? This SEL appears to be pretty misaligned with the lugs. I've searched around and haven't found any examples of it.

Is the springbar engaged? Only time I've seen something like this on any sub I've owned is when I've changed the bracelet and inserted at wrong angle ie didn't engage the springbar.

And what is the context of the photo: a QC from a TD or a photo you've taken?

Edit: in response to your question, no it's not typical.

Thanks for the info about the spring bar. Context is QC for a VSF 124060 with the new VS3230 (Q66 serial). I've already asked the TD about it. Overall, the watch looks great - the seating of the SELs just stood out as irregular.

I thought maybe that you had it in hand and could check if that was the cause.

Gaps between the sels and lugs are normal, but what your photo appears to show is that the sel is raised above the lug !?

No doubt the TD will see you right so all good.

No SEL gaps from what I can tell (not a huge deal to me if there were), but yea, the SELs appear to jut out at an odd angle, which (for me) was quite noticeable looking at the watch head on, given how light reflects across the lugs and SEL. I've noticed in gens and other VSFs that the lugs and SELs share the same contour, with the SELs being slightly recessed.

So here is my 11 series and tbh the sel fitment of the 12 shouldn't really differ ie from a profile perspective (sel lower than lug to some extent).

I've tried to recreate the sel alignment you've got, below...

The only way I can match that alignment with a vsf I have in a parts box is to remove the bracelet and have the spring bar not engaged, but resting against another part of the lug.

Probably not much help to you, but I was bored.

Hey fellas, I read from 140 page and onwards but something is still not clear in my head. As far as I understand between the 116610 and 126610 from VSF the 11 one is considered the marginally "better" rep.

What I haven't completely figured out is why is that. From comparisons between the gen and the VSF 126610 posted by TDs it seems to me that it is just as good , like case dimensions , lugs, bracelet, xtal quality and of course it has the VS3235 with that sweet power reserve.

So if someone could enlighten me why there is this sentiment I would greatly appreciate that 😊 or even if I am wrong in my assessment that the VSF 116610 is considered the "better" between the two. Thanks!!

Both are great options, but what decides it for me is that it is hard to find spare parts for the 323x series movement, and the parts that are available are so expensive that you might as well replace the whole movement. Then you run into the problem that the VS3235 is not easy to find, so you probably have to swap to the inferior VR3235. Hopefully this will change in the future.

Thanks that's pretty much my assessment of the situation as well, either you get the 11 series and something goes wrong you swap the movement or you go with the 12 series and if smth happens you swap for the VR one or you just get a new watch 😋
