Take steaming hot water and pour it into a bowl enough to cover the bezel, lay the watch in the bowl face down for 1 minute, take out the watch and apply pressure with fingers and turn the bezel insert back and fourth until it comes loose, takes seconds with zero risk of breaking the bezel. I have done it numerous times with zero problems.

Bought the brushes, pallet and razor blades today now all I have to do is wait for the paint and thinner to arrive. My engravings don't look very deep but I'm going to give it a try on my BK Sub C and BK VAC DSSD.

Im getting close too finally Thrash! My buddy is in the UK right now coming home next weekend with some Anitas for me! Im pumped! i am planning on using the aircraft stripper to remove the white paint and then I'm going to ever so carefully, with a pointed qtip go around the bezel with a thin coat of vaseline and then fire up the airbrush with numerous super thin coats of whatever concoction i come up with. Good luck to you!! I will of course keep everyone posted.

I have a BK SubC on my list too. Great purchase! After a supreme ppm it will be one hell of a rep!!

falls into an instant Wayne and Garth chant "We're not worthy.. we're not worthy.."

I'm now looking at the bezel on my Submariner 114060 Black Ceramic LF 1:1 Best Edition SA3135 V2
FullSizeRender_zpscb3kfpwd.jpg

It definitely has a silvery/platinum appearance, but the paint could be thicker.. you've got me thinking

So I did both watches Friday night and knowing if the mix is even kind of worried me but now I'm scraping it off and its beginning to look real cool, the scraping is much harder then I imagined. Of course I forgot the sealer part so had to order that online as its easier than running around looking for the materials.

The scraping is the hard part on the sub c but not the DSSD ..very odd of course on the DSSD I knocked a little silver out of the two tiny markers to the right of noon. Don't worry about your razor knife if its new scratching the ceramic.. It wont. remember to wipe the bezel with thinner to clean away impurities I forgot on the DSSD. All in all its really very fun even with shaky hand!!!

I just put on the sealer, its actually harder than the silver because at first you cant really see where its going.

As promised, i have finally finished testing my ppm with my airbrush and i gotta say HOLY S***!! did it turn out nice! I have made numerous attempts with a regular brush in the past and just never liked the results i.e. lumpy, uneven color and wrong texture. So I fired up my airbrush and spent HOURS perfecting the perfect mix and i think i finally nailed it! Check out some test inserts below, each number is a different batch, i had a total of 8 batches. Batch #8 is number 20 on the insert and that is 4 layers. All the previous white paint was stripped off first with Aircraft Stripper to make it deep as possible. Also, I picked up 10 various inserts from a TD so i didn't have to take my watches apart first and have any downtime, so i may be selling several of them after i finish. Hell i may even provide services if ya guys want. i have a hell of a time in macro mode, sorry. btw the inserts above were ones i had laying around and not ones i purchased. I am going to restrip these and lay batch #8 down again as i ran out of test inserts to spray. I would really appreciate some feedback so let me know what you guys think.

Hey rsh! 15 is simply not finished, only 20 is finished. I did several batches on 1 insert to save time and space. I laid it out first on photo paper and then moved to a number.

It is an old crappy insert, see how the markers are tapered. This insert came off a rep i bought in Turkey, we were on a sailboat and when we docked this guy was selling reps right on the dock, i had to buy one! It broke in a couple months.
