Is that a dh gate special? Do you know what the movement is?Closest I could find is this, I have one coming in so I'll mod it, maybe even with working subdials!
It is, but it was a special request. I have a pretty good relationship with one of the dealers over there. I don't want to recommend it to anyone until I've had it in my hand and examined it. It may also be a bit bigger than the Corgeut based rep, we shall see.
I also have another mission to mars rep incoming to take the hands from and modify them in an attempt to create an Alaska project rep like this.....

picture, it's hard to believe that is a gen but it is! Dial looks off, sel gaps you could park a bike in, alignment issues and the list goes on....

Once you know what to look for even on gens it makes you appreciate what some of these factories are doing IRT tolerances.
100% and you have some idiots running around crying that 'the bezel has too much play in it'

I Stopped cannibalizing another moonswatch for sweep hands and ordered one from Esslinger for about 5 dollars.
It is for a 0.2mm hole and the arbor on these should be 0.17mm- but it seems to be holding just fine

It is a well printed dial.
These Ali/DH gate watches are like a box of chocolates - you never know what you are going to get .
Mission to Jupiter with a white second hand from a Neptune and an Esslinger Chrono sweep hand and the frozen sub-hand at 2 O'clock mod.

Wow! A thread of my wet dreams! It seems that all of the mods are done with moonswatch reps - I wonder, whether it will be possible with genuine one / ETA movement?
one has yet to find a compatible mechanical movement that is within the philosophical price range of a swatch. If you have an idea, please contribute
I meant not a mechanical movement, but fitting genuine moonswatch with quartz eta into a metal case - whether it will fit the same vk63 case?

This has been such a great write up.....great work! I ordered and received all of the DHGate parts including an excellent rendition of the Mission to Mercury. I must not be a quick study because for the life of me I cannot get the crown pin to work. I may have damaged something when I removed it initially from the movement but not sure. I even bought a kit of crown pins off of Amazon, not a single one fit properly. Any ideas other than ordering another complete watch from DHGate again? I set the time manually by moving the hands which seemed to work for now but would love a fully functional watch.Case arrived along with a 2nd "revised" DHGate Moonswatch. They have changed construction on the newer versions. Dial print seem crisper, new strap is considerably nicer, and there is now a metal plate covering the movement upon taking the plastic case back off. The metal plate has some heft so i'm not sure what practical purpose it serves other than possibly making it feel heavier? I'm not sure what gen weight is compared to the reps.
Anyway - still waiting on another PE50 movement so I can cut a new stem to legnth. But this stem my case I got was not able to be reused as the legnth is too short. But if you're trying to remove the stock crown from the stem I used some delrin tipped pliars to get some purchase on the stem without damaging the threads and it came right off. Wasn't glued on as others have reported on theirs. If you don't have similar pliars I suspect wrapping some electrical tape around a pair of needlenose pliars should work just fine.
Still have to fashion a holder for movement, cut new stem to legnth, and mount the bezel (it's not attached from the seller and 3m pre-cut tape is provided.) Pic just shows a rough mock up of a "mission to the moon early rep version" in this 40mm case: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/3256804707033900.html ("case 1" - black) for 27.00.
Hopefully I can make it all work - I think it's a fun little project. About 60 bucks all in for parts (assuming you put it on a strap or something and don't get a bracelet).
