The Moonswatch metal mod aka Project Alaskswatch

New member here. I’m planning a metal moon swatch mod but would prefer to use a 44.5mm rep case in stainless. Has anyone tried this? Also I can only find pvd black or grey cases/watches in the large size. Struggling to find a cost effective 44.5mm speedy case in plain stainless, any tips?

If you want the Omega branding I think your one option is Jason007 on DHGate. Those turn out great looking, but come in at ~42mm diameter.

I’m not tied to the branding on the crown. A homage is fine if it’s a good one. Just haven’t seen any plain stainless 44.5 options out there at the moment.

Anyone have bought and mod the Corgeut case recently?

I was wondering if the moonswatch dial is a direct fit for the case as I read inconsistent reports from different batches

Only somewhat germane but I thought I would post for posterity:

I guess I tried to pull a Moonswatch out of it's box by the bezel and it popped off:

These are glued in with three tabs holding them in place. Although making a bunch of @Eddio creations I have never bothered ever dealing with the plastic case. For some reason I assumed it was all one piece- I suppose mixing and matching of bezels is a possibility as well as harvesting a crystal:
