Hey,

The EF watch is a slightly older watch.
I got it while in China. Was just doing a comparison with the EW.
If you look at the card it clearly says EF, but you did make mention of EWF which
kinda makes me wonder. The watch might be the older model for the EW it only makes sense.
Thanks for the information Ill use TapTalk and take some clearer photos.
I also picked up the 39mm 2017 oyster which seem to be a pretty nice quality watch
so I will upload those and pick up a scale :) to weigh the band

Yes I saw the "EF" on the card that and 40mm were about the only thing I could read though lol.

I don't really know much about EWF but I know F stands for factory. Perhaps that have been around for a while in China like you have said and changed the name? Who knows lol

Either way it's a good comparison to see how our watches compare to what non tds are selling.

Looking forward to more pics and a weight!

I would be very interested in hearing more about your EW factory watch. One of the TDs has a 116333 SS YG 41mm EW factory DJII that is very sharp. If your EW DD quality is great, I may consider picking one of these EW factory models up. I'm always interested in quality control from these factories. Versace, didn't you once say you had to reject multiple BP DD40 plated models until you got one that didn't have black plating flaws and problems with the Roman marker alignment? Since Noob has DD40 out in SS, do you think it's a matter of time before a YG will be released by them?

Well I never had any issues with plating the problem was with the dials. In the first batches of Roman numerals a good amount of dials of came misaligned. Then I also had an issue with black specks under the dial but it was just dirt. It think that's what you were referring to.

When I was looking at the Noob versions on pure time I noticed a few of the Roman numeral dials had the same issue with alignment so I would definitely make sure to really look at your QC pics very carefully if anyone is ordering one.

I think I'm going to buy the Noob DD40 SS and see what the quality is like. If I'm happy with it, I'll buy the YG if and when it comes out.

Btw. Rolex don't use 2xAR / AR because they want to have that classic Rolex contrast between crystal and cyclops which is AR.

Also AR is a scratch magnet.

Damn that's a lovely watch!

I'm pretty keen on the YG one, I am looking to get one with a thick plating, I'm guessing it's called "wrapped"? Which would be the most accurate one? I really like noobs quality in the past, and I'm not expecting a "gen". Just one that would be at present, the "best".

Thanks!

@Versaceboy54 Do you know which movements will fit into this watch? Is it only the 2834-2, or are there better options available? Mine is a 17 jewel 2834-2, but I have had a good deal of trouble with the movement already

Wrapped versions are the closest. You're gonna need to spend a good chunk of cash though.

I don't know much about movements but I'm fairly certain there is no yuki like equivalent for these type of watches unfortunately bc these need a day function.

I think 2834 and 2836 are basically the same movement so you should be able to use a 2836 which I think would be your best option. They are also relatively easy to find online and not overly expensive.

I would just double check with a modder or watch smith to make sure that it's a direct swap but it should be. I know my day date 40 has one and it's the same case.

I hope this helps
