Thank you @Versaceboy54 for the helpful information you have provided. Another question or two if I may, do you know how the bezel was removed and how it was reinstalled. Are the bezels affixed to the case by an adhesive and if so what kind of adhesive? Oh and yes, I plan to use a smooth bezel from BP for the DD40. Thanks again.

I'm not 100% sure but I think it's just held in place by pressure bc a press is needed to re install it. There is also a special tool that removes bezel as well.

Just thought I'd let everyone know that Noob has finally released their version of the Yellow Gold DD40.

Unfortunately they seem to have the same issues as the stainless versions have. For the dials that have lume sticks, they just reused or copied the Date Just II dial markers so the lume sticks are way to fat. BP still has the better and more accurate dials.

Also, going by the few pics and videos I've seen most have very bad day and or date wheel alignments but Its possible it's just a QC issue and can vary from watch to watch.

As for the plated gold color, (the most important thing to me!) I can't tell if one is more accurate then the other without seeing some comparison pics in natural light. However, If your looking for the closest to gen. gold color I still say confidently that the BP 18k Wrapped is the one to get but it's very expensive.

All in all, I still think BP is the best way to go if you want a DD40. This is just my opinion of course!

Versace, as we have discussed in the past, I have been wanting a YG DD40 with stick markers instead of Roman. I know BP offers a black waffle dial with stick markers in yellow gold, but I think these new Noob DD40s are the first to market with the stick markers and a gold dial. Is this accurate or have you seen this offered by BP recently? Regarding the non wrapped BP model and these new Noob plated models, which do you think have better plating based on experience with past products? I know you had some QC issues with black markings on BP plated DDs in the past. Do you think Noob has better QC with regards to their plated models? If you were going to buy the Roman YG model plated and not wrapped would you go with Noob or BP?

First off I would stay away from the stick marker dials from Noob. They are way to thick not gen like at all.

For Roman Numerals the Noob looks just as good as BP to my eyes but I haven't been impressed with Noobs QC. From most of the pics/ video I've seen, the watches had a very bad day and date wheel alignment.

As far as gold plating, from what I can tell they both look very similar even though the lighting used doesn't accurately show the color. I've never had anything gold plated from Noob only 14k wrapped sub so I can't really compare them.

Honestly I'm not sure the Noob is any better then the BP. The day font is a bit more accurate though.

Yup, the color isn't exactly everrose but it's close, the big thing is the dial - every RG dial before was absolutely garbage.

Guys, I am at the verge or ordering one of these either noob or BP. I have a BP V2 116333 and love it but on the 228206 40mm both noob and BP look very good but I'm leaning more towards BP. Thoughts?
