I would like to replace the bezel insert on my Rolex rep stealth--too much matte black IMO.

I am having a beast of a problem with removing the current insert. It's a brand new rep. I have scoured this board looking for tips. I anyone has any insight I would be very thankful.

Sent from my toaster.

Get a razor blade and put it in between the bezel and insert. Move the razor all the way around the watch then slightly start to pry up you need to get the glue from under the insert loose and I should pop right out.

I've never had a sub where there was enough room to get a razorblade or anything in between the insert and bezel. I've always just removed the bezel assembly and then carefully removed it from underneath.

just be careful not to lose the spring or pins.

That's why I say try and pull it from the top. It can be done egro. Just work your way around the outside of the bezel insert with the tip of a razor. You just have to be careful.

I'm not sure what you mean. The subs I've worked on at least none of them have had any space on either side of the insert to be able to get anything in there to work it out of there. Maybe some have more space than others? I'm not sure. I did try it though before.

If your replacing the insert it doesn't matter if the one in it gets damaged right? There's a couple of ways to pull it out without removing the bezel insert wedge a razor in the between the inset and bezel or pop the pearl pull up from there.

oh yes, if you don't mind damaging the insert yes. for sure you can get it out like that. or drill out the pearl and pull it out through the hole. yes. ok I wasn't thinking about that.
