Dear Angus, if they, with a gen in hand, in ten years have not been able to put a good crystal with a good Ar and good black hole on the cyclops, why would they now be able to create a good black hole effect by giving it a photo of a gen? come on, mate, let's not fool ourselves. the truth is that as long as no factory will put a good crystal with a good black hole effect Arf has no interest in doing this. in fact, as you wrote above, the new sub Arf v.4 will have a vr movement, because obviously ZZf is taking away a large slice of the market with its beautiful excellent ootb subs. when ZZf or other strong competitor will put a crystal with a good black hole then Arf will do it too. instead, in the old sub 16610, where Arf has no rival, Arf will continue to put that shit of Sh movement, as people buy it anyway. Same goes for the Datejust (although the new Vrf Dj41 seem very well made and, therefore, I think they will take away a good slice of the market from Arf).

They do AR their cyclops, I am just trying to tell them about the black hole effect thing.

They will update others with the VR movemoment but they will update the SUB first and the others later since they still have a lot of SH3135 with them.

I really hope so, but after the experience with the Jf 16610 (it's been years to say that the dw would be improved) currently I don't believe it until I will see it with my own eyes

No shit Sherlock. Beware of bullshit like this. ARF Submariner lugs are less than .2mm too wide - imperceptible to most. ‘Gigantic’ is pure hyperbole.

b25-295-c12-c1 is the submariner crystal. I am gussing the c12 crystal has a *SINGLE* ar coating on one side (inside watch) amd the ar is not strong. And a tiny portion just under the cyclops under the cyclops from the other side. . I am not sure of it. But there is something missing on the reps.

And here is the gen crystal from my franken,

Also for sure it has squared edge not rounded like gmt crystal b25-295-car-c1.



Maybe smoke has a better input on this.

I didn’t want to share this because it was only a prototype and they are still working on it.

I picked a few numbers, the top is gen and the bottom is the new AR date wheel, not good enough and I have told them to do it better.

Not sure if you can see from the images, the maker does too much AR costing on the cyclops and the cyclops disappeared LOL, also told them to fix that as well.

Ok so if arf do make a good crystal like VSF(black hole and clear) thin and same case as the new release. AR3235 super clone with genlike dw, arf bracelet. Bezel and dial part will be hard and take time. Have hope, lets go 2021!

What did you mean by squared and rounded edge? Can you point them out with arrows?

It's not done yet. Only time tells reliability.
A2824 version is feasible but not preferable since the cost difference of the A2824 and 3135 clones is not big, and usually they have contracts with the clone movement supplier and they have to sell a certain amount of clone movements each month so they dont like the A2824 option.
