Im starting a thread; does my AP need a rebrushing, we’re all gonna post pics in it and legend- who will have no time to eat shower or sleep will tell us if the watch in question needs a rebrushing. Lol all jokes aside, just enjoy your watches guys, even gens vary with things. Take the Daytona with an aph dial- it’s worth more- but if a rep made that error- we’d all red light that qc. Enjoy the watch and don’t worry

I'm new here. First of all, thank you for this great forum. I read here every evening with enthusiasm. After looking at many AP watches. I'm in love with him two models. 15202 Blue ZF or 15500 ZF V3 either with the blue dial or black.

Are there any concerns about the movement of the 15202?
Does anyone know if a new version will be released soon?

For the 15500 I read that APSF recently released a new version. Is the dial better than V3 ZF?

My wrist is 17.5 cm. Would the 15500 be too big?

I am looking forward to becoming a part of your community.

Hi recently bought 15202 and 15510 black. Wrist size 16.5cm. Best with jumbo but barely pulling 15510 ( I have very flat arm.) It is more about your thickness of your are being larger than lug to lug.

AFIK legend gave thumbs up for clon 4302 movement.

I personally prefer ZF over APS

Having both in hand, and my year plus of research and talking to legend I settled on a apsf v3 blue dial. I find the finishing on the watch better- and could not be happier with it, but finishing on both zf and apsf will vary by batches. Watch is not very thick- so it fits smaller looking- I’d suggest trying one on to see and welcome!

This video also helped me with my decision.

It will be 15500 :giggle:
I was on the same with that, 15400 vs 15500.

I like the 15500 better in apsf- I really wanted the blue dial- in hand it feels
Really good, very happy with it

Hi all,
I'm 99% sure on this, but wanted to get a second opinion before I waste money on another ill-advised self-help solution.
My XFv1 15202 hasn't been self-winding in months, and I figured I might as well just do a movement swap. From what I've seen, it seems they used a stock 9015, swapped out the rotor, and called it a day?
Would the swap just involve slapping in a new 9015 then, optionally installing the rep rotor?

I doubt it'd be the rotor more like auto module. Swapping in a new miyota only or a decorated one for the 15202? A stock will look cack through the saphire. Is the rotor actually turning 360? I've had more than one watch go down like this only to be a decorative part or case clamp/screw wedged somewhere.

Yeah, it's something wrong with the auto winding. The rotor spins 360, what I assume is the ratchet wheel turns correctly, and beyond that I'm lost.
Off a quick visual comparison with the site, looks like on this particular movement all XF did was add some perlage to the mainplate and swap out the ratchet for a chromed/nickel one. I'm hoping someone else knows better than me on this though.

Good morning friends, congratulations on your APs!
Have any of you had the modified dial made by your trusted supplier AMF?
I am referring to the BLUE dial upgrade for 15202 . I have read many positive discussions on the vendor's page.

Legend, good morning, what do you think?

I think that @AMF has done a very good job for the 15202 dial, and so far I do not think another modder is doing it including myself.
The mini tapisseries make it harder to refinish the dial when the grooves take up significantly more area of the dial vs say the 15500 or 15400 dials, and also the height of the tapisseries are shorter vs the mega tapisseries found in the 15500 or 15400.
The crispness of the dial and edges of the tapisseries need to be maintained after the refinish is done, and not just the surface finish. If you like, please send AMF a PM to make an enquiry.
