Italy and France are the only two places on Earth where you can have good expresso almost anywhere as a standard.

Not saying that it does not exist elsewhere, but a real expresso would only be served in pretentious places at extortionate prices

Espresso in Portugal is both excellent and dirt cheap - otherwise there would be a riot!

I'm just really unsure about what to do.
The MK1 one seems good.. too good to be true..
Manodeoro said he will sort out the lume.
Only problem with the mk1 is that it lacks sheriffs on the 369.
Manodeoro has not been online for a while, hope he is okay..

the movement of the Commando is supposed to be manual winding... but on the dial it says Oyster Perpetual and not just Oyster, as in manual winding... is this normal? Am I wrong?

Commandos should all have manual movements, although anything probably goes with a prototype, since they probably mocked them up with parts on hand.

the gen commando is based off the 6426 which is 34 and I may machine down the dial to 28mm to fit into a 34mm case but this dial is intended for his 36mm explorer case.

The dial is made for the 36mm case set
I will need to machined the dial diameter down to fit the 34mm case , which I may do. I have done it before with the raffles small rose ranger dial. He had them made for the 36mm case but I was able to cram it into a 34 case by reducing size of the dial and opening the rehaut.

Are you talking about the commando dial from raffles? This will fit without any modification in the 34 mm raffles case , Ive just built it , I can post photos tomorrow

I am talking about the prototype dial not the standard commando dial

the albino prototype dial will need to be motified to fit a 34mm case because it is designed for the 36mm case as it is on a 28.5mm dial plate

I think I may prefer it in a 36mm case as it kinda has that dj/ sub cross over look a bit

Have not had a chance to measure with a caliper, but it seems a hair bigger than 27.3. Here's a picture next to a failed gilt and the first genuine sized Raffles 1675. Now, you've got me nervous! I'll definitely follow up with specifics.
Also, the date window looks a little bigger. Perhaps it's for a true 1520/1570 instead of the 3135 standard? I don't know. Dial quality looks great though. Even better, seller claims it's solvent based (so accidental moisture shouldn't make the text and lume melt away like some Vietnam dials). I'm assuming that part is true though. I contacted him to make sure I didn't try to lume the dial with some chemical that makes it start to boil off.

They confirmed that the dial is 28mm. The listing info is wrong.
