The 2824 is definitely bottom of the barrel. Fake adjuster and all. The NH35 is just a normal TMI movement.

Some builds justify better movements, some are must rarely worn pieces to fill a hole in the collection. I try to upgrade when it'll be worn frequently, and save a few bucks when it's just going to scratch an itch.

It looks like a reverse image dial that didn't go through the last steps. Like it needs to be finished black, than wash off the printing to reveal the gilt underneath.This is apparently a prototype, found in the Rolexforums

Out of curiosity; did 1016 matte dials ever have gilt writing? Or was that only glossy lacquer dials?not sure if anyone noticed.

yes i would use more """""" to quote the word gilt if i could.

in the explorer line up only matte dials had white print.
Ive never seen a matte dial 1016 turn tropical .. however I have seen it happen in 5513 and 1680
the question is why? different materials used in the making of each dial ?

Would like your honest opinion on this dial.
I keep seeing it on Ebay and I would like to buy it and then have it relumed. Am not sure if is a scam seller or not, the dial looks just attracts me towards it..
What do you guys think about it, is it any good ? It looks just like a simple print, hence why itI needs lume. Seller says is only for an ETA movement.

Only problem with the mk1 is that it lacks sheriffs on the 369.

its a fair price . worth a try . the mk3 is nice. that is the first talk cornet option I have seen so far. too bad its double stamped tiffnay .

The proportions taken from the images seems to be the same.. I hope that it was a typo and they are 28mm..
