The 1016: The Under Appreciated Thread

Ok guys, I’m back! And I got the gold hands to match the gilt dial raffles erroneously sent me; same aging process as last time:
This time the process wasn’t repeated over the course of a few days, I did everything in one shot but applied much more coffee to see what result i would get.
This was the watch with the silver hand set I had mounted before:
(Yes, my “workbench” is shit and it’s a mess, I know…
)
Comparing the two set of hands I think I still like the result I got on the silver hands a bit more but I can always come back to work on these gold hands to get to where I want just like I did last time:
And this is how it all turned out:
Do you think it’s an improvement from last time? Waiting to hear your thoughts on it!

Did the gilt-dial 1016 come from Rolex with only the gold hands, or are there genuine versions with silver hands as well?

Vacation exploring on the island of Bornholm… discovered a superlative sundial and iron age sun carvings. The sundial is in shade of the tower during the winter and thus predates the 1200s.

While waiting for my new bezel and crystal from from 1016 lover I put together this summer edition 369 Air-King from random Raffles parts I found in my watch stuff drawer.
Good morning, new build, everything Raffles, including the new longer hands, plexy T22, bezel by @1016 lover, crown and tube Athaya, I wanted to make a relume to the dial, I'm not convinced by the result ... what do you think? PS. the glass is a bit marked, I have to polish it ...

Personnally i like cleaner lines on lume 
Spotty lume is nice on yellowed flaky lume
Does not work as well on off white.

I agree... in fact it was an experiment, what if I try to yellow the lume and the hands? If not, how can I remove the lume?Personnally i like cleaner lines on lume

much better after the lume has been aged.OK... just yellowed i think it's a lot better

But…I got a frigging dud of an old movement…i should not have cheaped out and bought from Miuysiki as usual…
It’s clear that it needs a service.
