while you are at it, I was thinking that you could slightly modify the letters and numbers 6 9 0 R D etc to leave them "open" to that the cutout remains. Balsa could be rigid enough. Then we hand finish with a diamond fine tipI hadn't thought of that. It could work. I have some scrap balsa that came with the engraver, I'll give it a shot tonight.
It depends. I don't know if those type of magnets are conductive...more like some kind of plastic embedded with magnetic material.magnetic sheets with a vinyl top?
the water would connect with the magnet and conduct no?
I know hairspray is used as a temporary adhesive in some applications…it’s sticky, but not permanent, and cleans up with alcohol, which shouldn’t hurt dials. That might work as a cheap, temporary, renewable adhesive.interesting ideas guys.
I think maybe cutting the text into a ligher adhesive like the pre mask that is used by decal shops to apply decals. you are using painters tape but same idea.
probably only good for one use. but the cost is cheaper so you can print off a few and include them in a pack .
I cant see the wood working too well on the curve of the case. but who knows.
A lot of potential, not sure how it would hold up to saltwater, though.actually, I just got a flash of thunderbolt
waterproof, stick on wet, thin
