Some photos for comparison:
Gen 5500 Explorers (random photos from the web, mostly chosen because the perspective is head on and similar to the dial shots), both "Precision" and "Super Precision" vs the reps mentioned in the last few threads...Raffles, Ruby's (both 28-29mm) Mochacha and Yuki (both 27mm) and the Facebook one shared with teh suspect dial.
Basically, everything that's currently available besides custom and DIY. There doesn't seem to be a TON of variations on the gens, at least not to the extent of the 1016 or 5513 or similar. The biggest variations were gloss or matte dial, gilt or painted, and "Precision" or "Super Precision" (which is sometimes underlined).
To my "untrained but learning" eye:
Yuki and Raffles have the best font. Ruby's and Mochacha aren't as good (font too small), and Ruby's has numbers that are too thick.
Ruby's is the only option with gilt dial, the rest are painted white or aged.
Raffles and Ruby's are too big (28.5-29mm), designed for the incorrect 36mm case. Yuki and Mochacha are correct for the 34mm case (27mm).
I have to wonder if you couldn't shave off 1mm all around (actually, a bit less) on the Raffles dial and have a very nice, cheap option (making it the best of the "Super Precision" options) This would make it probably the best bang for the buck, with a little elbow grease. Maybe put it in a dremel and spin it against some sandpaper until you've taken off .75mm all around. They're far from fragile, so I assume this might work.
Yuki seems to be the most accurate overall, although quite a bit more expensive than Raffles (~$100 + $50 shipping).
Ruby's is absolutely beautiful, but I don't see anything gen that matches it exactly.
Mochacha is a very nice dial, but not a super close match to gen.
Late edit:
This is the template for the waterslide decal for a gilt dial. It honestly looks like it has the same 3,6,9 as the Ruby dial (and the one shared from Facebook), but teh ROLEX/OYSTER PERPETUAL/EXPLORER font is closer to gen. To my eyes, it's probably the best option if nothing but gilt will do...provided you have the skill and equipment to do it right.
