On the flip side, criticism forces improvement.. There is no way TC would stop what he's doing just because of some 'flak'..

The high expectations are IMO completely warranted. $600 is not cheap but I realise it's not $6000 either and the expectations are not perfection they are simply a functional good looking watch but that's not what we are discussing here. The stress and high requirements come with the territory - you put all the effort into the development of a first class product and the demand will be there. Maybe the orders should be limited to a certain number per month in order to retain CS and some better QC. Shit I'd even go as far as saying bump the price up $50 and limit the orders to compensate the losses but it will keep the loyal followers coming because of the first class service and product to go with it..

AP's are a different kettle of fish all together let's compare apples to apples..

Basically a Gen watch? With a few mods I agree. We are spoilt nowadays.. Spoilt I tell ya

Guys I think it's all pretty much been said and TC probably has the gist of it by now. Can we let it rest for the time being?
All that is being said has been said already and in a manner that is as clear as a finely polished Patek crystal.

If y'all want my opinion on this, read on. If not, skip it.

I emailed TC a few months back on a case set and some parts. Maybe it wasn't worded correctly but as Phil Collins would say, there was no reply at all. I didn't force it or re-email him, I just wrote it off as, no soup for you or, read it, skip it, feck it... Whatever. If I really wanted the caseset, I'd pushed more.

[Opinion]No one likes to be told they suck, but sometimes feedback like that is helpful. I myself have lost customers/business by not being prompt on my correspondence. I got the message loud and clear. Have I changed my ways? I think I am better for knowing, I suck. ;) I am sure TC has heard what y'all wrote. [Opinion]

Sub and Junio should get a room. Just sayin.

Sub calls Egroegart - Eggroll, now that's funny. :)

OP I hope you get your watch back soon sir.

Arrivederci!

Can someone please confirm these are the parts from Ofrei I need to fix my brand new V6?

"Ebauches Part # 1488 Pawl Winding Wheel & Pinion For ETA 2824-2 & 2836-2"

"
Ebauches Part # 1530 Pawl Winding Wheel Without Pinion For ETA 2824-2 & 2836-2"

Total with shipping $36.50. Then whatever it's going to cost to have them installed..

That's the correct parts. If anyone charges you more than $20 for install you're getting ripped off.

I don't understand the complaints.

TC hand build these watches and offer at a reasonably low price which is why his watches are so popular. They are replica watches with replica movements. People actually expect perfection and after sale customer service? He is not a TD and shouldn't have to obey TD rules. Is he supposed yo setup shop at Best buy and give out a toll free number for customer service too?

TC offers help and actually fixes problems and that's honorable IMO. He does it probably out of kindness as well as retaining loyalty and reputation for future sales. All the bitching and moaning are uncalled for IMO.

I read the OP the day it was posted and my first thought was: "been there done that". Oh yeah I am a fanboy alright. However I know how to communicate properly and I know how to resolve a potential situation.

I log on to this sub forum every day and I can't believe the sense of entitlement expressed here.

You are buying replica watches folks. Not a refrigerator from Best buy. The seller here in question is not obligated to fix anything for you. This kind of complaint does NO one any good. Not the seller nor the buyer.

Good to see your time here has been productive then, every day for five years that's quite a feat..

Please explain to all of us newbs how to communicate properly and resolve issues.. (As I'm assuming you've read ALL the pages and thoroughly understand the situation)

In your expert opinion please educate us mere mortals on how it is done? And what the OP should have done differently?

I for one think the OP didn't exhaust all of his options.. OP Make sure you try ALL of these before posting a thread next time ;)

He could have created a fire and sent smoke signals?

Maybe he could of sent a carrier pigeon?

Failing that maybe some low frequency morse code?

A 'quick' phone call may have done the trick...

Maybe he could of filmed a montage singing about his sub and reps and waited for it to go viral in order to contact the elusive 'Thomas'..

Maybe he could of written a letter and sent it through the post? Probably get seized by customs though.

OP do you know any telekinesis? If not maybe you should do some research and learn.

We know it's a replica - a bloody good one at that.. Your points are invalid and useless to this discussion, what needed to be said simply WAS.

If we had no sense of entitlement dealers would get away with murder, your way of thinking is backwards in my opinion and rep or not it's a product paid for that's expected to work as described. But that's not what this thread was about.. The 'seller' although not obligated, accepted to repair the goods.

Complaint does no one any good?.... I don't even know how to respond to that, I guess some people have NO clue whatsoever.. I won't try and convince you anymore as I fear this is futile but the OP has more self control than I.

rant over -

Why don't you call the the 1800buytcsub hotline to talk to the American born customer service specialist? Or exercise the 3 year warranty written on the warranty card shipped with your "Rolex Submariner"?

The hand full of you whiners can get a room together. I myself could understand the original post at first, but the subsequent whining and self entitlement are simply uncalled for. Don't expect for one second that everyone is supposed to be pro-consumer on this forum. Let me repeat myself again, you are buying a replica watch with replica movement from a none-TD.

Mature well put together response... About the quality I was expecting. Maybe I wasn't communicating as effectively as I should have been.

You told us you could of and would of done it better (communication) but couldn't answer how.. Congratulations sir

Let me repeat MYSELF again. We know it's a Replica watch with a Replica movement, I do believe we are all part of this forum called REPLICA-watch.info and have some of an idea what we're buying and who it's from..

I never thought that a simple expectation such as a 10 word email was such a taboo and 'Self-entitlement' I thought it was just a common courtesy.. MY Bad.

I Must remember not to feed the trolls
I Must remember not to feed the trolls

You get the point.. I hope.. No really I sincerely do - if not I'll await my education from professor 'I Want Daytona' on how to communicate.

This poor train wreck of a thread. I want Daytona - The mob mentality in this thread is senseless.

TC just one person. Handling every task involved in each transaction from beginning to end. He's human, and bound to make mistakes as we all do.

Let's all lighten up and stop overreacting.

I'm going to amend my post because I don't want to spark 10 more pages of senseless and misguided outrage. TC does a better job, selling a better quality product, than 99.9% of the other avenues one has to buy a fake Rolex. That, even with the awesome resources of RWI and the community behind it, one doesn't always get the same reliability and customer service you'd expect at a Mercedes-Benz dealership should not surprise anyone. Those expecting so should plan on resetting their expectations right now. The guy is selling you a watch made of parts that US Customs would really rather he didn't import, and then selling you a product that it is illegal for him to sell to you. WTF people?! Give the guy a break! If you didn't think that this MIGHT not be an air-tight place to put your $600, I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you. That having been said, TC is about as safe of a bet in the Rep game as there is. His sins are almost non-existent compared to almost any other dealer out there.

That said, RWI does a GREAT job policing this hobby, and keeping a crop of safe sellers who are the cream of the crop. But even then, we're not buying Lexuses here...they're illegal-to-sell replica watches! Set your expectations and risk tolerance accordingly. I've been burned by members here on at least 2 occasions. It's rare, unfortunate, but it's part of the territory and will happen eventually to everyone if they are here and active long enough.

I'm really pleased that the OP got the communication he was looking for. I'm sorry for his troubles in getting it, and am sure that he'll love his TC when he gets all this behind him. Let's all continue to bitch and complain for an additional 10 pages though...because that's productive. There are some people who've who've helped contribute to this absolute wreck of a thread being 14 pages, whose outrage and vitriol are 10x that of the guy who actually had the problem (which was resolved in the first few pages)!

Anyone ever have someone bitch at you, you fix the problem, and then they just keep bitching? Does that at all sound familiar.....to the thread you are currently reading?
