Amazing amount of Singaporeans here ! :)

I'm also amazed by more than 30 request for a watch smith but none gave any reviews on their experience...

I also have issues finding a good service repair for rep in Singapore.

Just to share my experience.

I went to this shop at Kitchener Complex shop name starts with "R". Their Facebook page say that they specialise in China movement especially the 7750.

I was quoted $120 to repair my JF AP Panda. I'm not good at watch movement but I think it's a simple repair, the hours and mins hands gearing slips when I adjusts them.

After 3 weeks he told me can't be repaired and refunded me the $120. When I collect my watch I found scratches at the case back and screws.

I end up contacting my TD Ryan and ask him if I can ship the watch back for repair. Ryan was very nice to help.

Although the shipping took almost 1 month to reach him. He manage to repair the watch and send it back to me! :)

I know it's a long process to send back to TD but what to do when in SG we can't seem to find a reliable watch smith for reps...

Good to let the locals know.

There are quite a number of locals here however as you can see many are single digit posters so you can assume they arent active members, nothing wrong but its a waste to leave a forum like this behind.

Anyway, I will never risk my reps with any local watchsmiths, much less a 7750. I will just self learn and do my own repairs if possible, and if cant, buy another and use the old one as spares or sell as is on M2M.

Yes bro I realised that too. Many are hit and run forum goers and seldom input to the community.

Ya I agree with the 7750 second at 12 is more painful to service than a normal 7750. The only DIY thing I know for my reps are changing straps that's all haha.

Good to know that you can still service your own watches. :)

Lol same. I only know how to change strap. The rest I rather not risk it doing it myself.

Seems like the hope of finding a reliable rep watch smith is near to zero after so long and not a single one have been able to say that their experience went well.

Guess we'll just have to learn and do it in our free time with our dead movement? XD

I have chunk up quite a number of tools so far in the 4 years in this hobby, what I can say is that a good tool will make your life so much easier.
