I like the darker, more saturated colors of the MK2. Looks like Rolex saw the need for improvement too. I guess the MK1 is vintage already.

In the gen world... mk1 is more like the “imperfect” edition... mk 2 is yea the modern one haha.

That you will have a reliable movement, but the hands are ICHS which some people see as a bad flaw (I do not)

With this movement, the "order" or stacking of the hands is incorrect. On the gen the GMT hand is on top of the hour hand. With the incorrect hand stack the GMT hand is below the hour hand. It is not something that is easy to see, unless maybe twice a day when they overlap

For people in the western hemisphere (most of the US), if you set the GMT hand to GMT, the overlap is finished by 5:30am EDT, 6:30am CDT, etc. So it's not even a factor during the day or evening when people are out and about.

I think the 126711 from BP or GMT is worth modding, it comes in as is so nice!! It could possibly be a super rep after modding!!

Haha! Wore it these two days as well!!! Btw, I passed by a second hand watch shop in Hong Kong today, and was looking at my own(soon to be Franken) comparing the date font to the gens.... boy do they look the same haha. Aaaaaaand found out the fonts on the gen even vary from the same model!

Lol!! Caught.

Not sure if I want to keep it or not, bought and modded to give it an honest “test-drive” and see if the gen was something worth considering.

Post above- not wrapped but does it even matter? You can’t tell on your own wrist let alone a bystander a few feet away.
