All stock except xtal, yes

I’ve handled the gen quite a bit, this GMF is excellent and will pass 99.9% of the time on the wrist (with a crystal swap). The bracelet feel if more rough than gen, not sure how to describe it, but the gen click and feel is more solid/smooth/refined. If you’ve never handled the gen you won’t miss it. I wear gen BLNR almost daily so I can tell.

Few more pics -

Looks great, can you compare your gen's insert font up to the GMF to see if it is accurate? I have seen in other threads that the GMF insert has thinner insert fonts but the Root Beer might have a better insert than the others...

Nice, dc2. I’ve been considering sending my GMF to prof and I think you’ve tipped me over the edge.

One question for you or anyone else who has handled both this GMF and equivalent gen modern GMT. How does the bezel action compare? I was surprised how ‘springy’ mine feels. Don’t know if ‘springy’ makes sense to your experience..but that’s the best way I can describe the way mine clicks. Anyway, would you say the gen feels the same as your GMF.

Hi, how about the bezel compares to the gen?? I got myself the BP version, and the bezel when I turn produced swooshes instead of clicks... but sounds a very un-smooth swoosh instead of swoosh mixes with clicks... if that makes sense of what I’m trying to describe...

Naughtylus bp and gmf are basically same watches, same construct. The difference is steel - gmf is made with 904L but BP has better plated sel sides.
gmf sel sides are not plated at all small difference but it would bother me.
mechanism and construction of bezel l is the same so they should sound same or pretty similar when rotating it.

Here is a side by side - gen on left GMF on right.. the lighting is different yes, but you can see the GMF is very accurate. If it were feasible, a gen bezel assembly would be a good improvement. As you can see the teeth on gen are a little bigger, no big deal tho.

As far as action, the gen bezels are easier to move than my GMF. They turn decisively and smoothly. The GMF I really have to have a handle on it to get it to turn, and it’s ever so slightly gritty. Again, one of those things that if you didn’t handle gen regularly, you’d never miss it. Not sure if a modder can rebuild the bezel assembly to make it smoother and lighter.

Insert font looks the same to me, here it is next to gen BLNR

the only thing that worries me is how much the part in RG resists

WTH.... WOW!! Great pics and thanks for the quick comparison/review!!!! Appreciate it a lot!!! So I see you’re a GMT lover?? I found myself into these two tones (perhaps older versions) GMT A LOT!!! Can’t afford them at this stage in life, sadly the reps are all with wrong handstacks, but I love this RG GMT a lot!!! Thanks for the answer on the bezel!! I’ll try to use this as the base, and moved the movement and bezel assembly into my BP case and see if it’ll improve on the bezel turning on this watch!!

Dont think it can be super wrap unless they wrap the bracelet and fix the ICHS. Other than that this watch looks amazing. Im trying to get my hands on the GMF Pepsi myself, but the QC is really bad, lots of small issues here and there. Still waiting for a good one.

True....
the Pepsi QC seems very bad, the color is far from gen and the bezel looks rubbery

Here is my BP accepted QC - very happy I think the DWO is perfect. No pics of the bare or solid SELs, but I’m willing to risk it ;)

Looks great. I think BP has also better cyclops than gmf root beer. GMF root beer has too strong magnification making date font looking clownish big.

It doesn’t look so close to gen... I just sat next to my friend tonight throughout the whole dinner and he was having the 2019 Pepsi on.... it has much deeper blue and more solid and fresher rouge than the rep....

There are 2 different color variations of the gen Pepsi. One is on dark blue purple side / red, almost dark pink.
Other is lighter blue and slightly lighter red - that bezel is very close to gmf rep.
i think gmf blue should be just slightly darker and it would be Pretty much the same.

To add to this note, the lighter blue/lighter red is so called MK2, which is newer and will have more of in the real world. The dark pink version (MK1) was the first batch, and probably not as many out there.

I think you got it reversed. The darker colours are the newer gens. The GMF is super close to the mk1.

Yes I think you are right. I see more darker inserts than lighter.
i think lighter was released first.

I like the darker, more saturated colors of the MK2. Looks like Rolex saw the need for improvement too. I guess the MK1 is vintage already.
