Rolex GMT 126711 Root Beer from GMF

I want a 904L, I am more comfortable with a heavier bracelet. I can always switch between the BP and GMF... the sel doesn’t really bother me that much...
and I’m thinking of switching the bezel, dial, hands, and bracelet to the noob, so I can have the correct hand stacks. And the noob one can move over to my bp....

I doubt all that will fit on Noob case including gmf bracelet.
btw there is not much, if any, difference in weigh between 904l and 316L bracelets.

After reading this thread I have pulled the trigger on the BP version. I'd like to thank you all for the mass amount of information!

For the price and what it offers, it is more favourable to me than the GMF version. I tried to find it on Puretime and looks like it's no longer there.

Darn.... good to know!!! Thanks for the heads up!!! So even if I just take out the sh3186 from the noob and it still won’t fit into the bp case? And the only way to mod it is to get the gen parts????? I want a better date wheel on my bp as well

I’m not sure gen parts would fit too without sound some major modifications. You would have to contact moder and ask him.
if I were you I’d get gen date wheel and crystal and that’s it. But I will need to do date wheel overlay in order to fit gen into that movement.

Thank you!!! Yes, I’d like to change the date wheel as well. It’s just the main reason I want to mod this watch is because my bezel turning shouts “FAKE” to everyone who will tough this watch, and I don’t want that even though I will admit “oh it’s a high end replica”. And then one of my friend is suggesting help to mod my watch because he can’t stand the wrong hand stacks ahahaha.

This is the GMF version... according the previous pages, the down side of the GMF doesn’t have a SEL as good as the BP version, but the bright side of it from the BP is that the GMF has the 904l and better Date Wheel(I believe, I’m not confident in confirming).

Do you guys’ root beer BP bezel sounds very ugly when you guys turn the bezel??? Is there anyway to fix it? Mine sounds so ugly when I’m turning it.

Mary watch has finally picked up my GMF root beer after the movement in it completely tanked. Only taken a further 4 weeks after it arrived in China for them to have gotten it back for service.
Will keep you updated.

All stock except xtal, yes

I’ve handled the gen quite a bit, this GMF is excellent and will pass 99.9% of the time on the wrist (with a crystal swap). The bracelet feel if more rough than gen, not sure how to describe it, but the gen click and feel is more solid/smooth/refined. If you’ve never handled the gen you won’t miss it. I wear gen BLNR almost daily so I can tell.
