That does look lovely. But ambitious to do what exactly?
I’ve already got a 6610 money pit on my hands
Will give this entire thread a read, later.
I was hoping you could trace out the dial for us so we can print.
It is apparently a gen prototypeWhat's the origin of this piece? Is this supposed to be gen? Link? It will take some high resolution photos to make it easy.
That last pic is workable… need to get rid of the hands though. Its probably not going to be perfect. Could give it a try. Either that, or pay the professional illustratorI was hoping you could trace out the dial for us so we can print.
not perfect is close enough , its a copy of a copy of a prototype. with only one possibly be in existence. I am not too worried about the fine details , But If you dont want to, I understand. That last pic is workable… need to get rid of the hands though. Its probably not going to be perfect. Please keep in mind, gentlemen, Rolex probably (definitely) had a few printing plates that were rotated between watches. Therefore, if the layout is there, the following texts should be easy to find if searching for that text only. I view it as 5 sections.not perfect is close enough , its a copy of a copy of a prototype. with only one possibly be in existence. Forgot to add an example... it doesn't look to be a match, but the SWISS-T<25 is very similar to that found on a GMT Master "type C" dial produced in the 60's.Please keep in mind, gentlemen, Rolex probably (definitely) had a few printing plates that were rotated between watches. Therefore, if the layout is there, the following texts should be easy to find if searching for that text only. I view it as 5 sections.
1) ROLEX
2) Oyster Perpetual
3) Commando
4) SCOC/OCC &
5) T-Swiss<25 or SWISS
1 & 2 are usually found together, and 3 & 4 can often be found together: 5 isn't a dealbreaker.
Just sharing my thoughts in case high resolution photos aren't available. I'd bet a pretty penny that a Submariner or GMT Master +/- 10 years of that has the exact same printing, and those high resolution photos are more likely than not readily available. Trust me, I'm OCD, okay!

Thanks. This was a mix and match of different vectors in Adobe Illustrator, as well as some photoshop to clean up 369's dial and steal some elements from it to vectorize, and some custom drawing.I get it. When you are good, people don't always realize the time it takes. But you did that quick and clean with different fonts. Do you save them as paths in Photoshop or something?
I've become a recent expert in finding high resolution images, so please pm me if you if you are working on a holy grail for yourself.
You are getting very good at that. I predict that you are going to have a lot of friends on these fora.
Not sure if this will interest you but the old Australian ID tags had a dark brown/black coating over brass. There are a couple of companies selling reps on ebay, and it may be worthwhile checking with them to ascertain the process used.Thanks. My personal grail is this: https://forum.replica-watch.info/th...g-white-lollipop-1957.10977202/#post-11738939
Thanks for thinking along. I'll be using Galvanic process to black the brass with zinc. (As per original Rolex production method). This causes it to have a very slight brown hue under certain (sun)light. Not sure if this will interest you but the old Australian ID tags had a dark brown/black coating over brass.
