Please keep in mind, gentlemen, Rolex probably (definitely) had a few printing plates that were rotated between watches. Therefore, if the layout is there, the following texts should be easy to find if searching for that text only. I view it as 5 sections.
1) ROLEX
2) Oyster Perpetual
3) Commando
4) SCOC/OCC &
5) T-Swiss<25 or SWISS

1 & 2 are usually found together, and 3 & 4 can often be found together: 5 isn't a dealbreaker.

Just sharing my thoughts in case high resolution photos aren't available. I'd bet a pretty penny that a Submariner or GMT Master +/- 10 years of that has the exact same printing, and those high resolution photos are more likely than not readily available. Trust me, I'm OCD, okay!

This reminds me of the recently discovered 1016 dial that @369mafia posted here in the 1016 Underappreciated Thread:
https://forum.replica-watch.info/threads/the-1016-the-under-appreciated-thread.8523377/post-11645500

It was a combination of plates from different dials. I myself have seen examples of 1016 dials where the SCOC text is in a different vertical position for the same dial type, leading me to the same conclusion as you.

Also, I would not be surprised if some of these albino dials weren't necessarily prototypes,* but test prints of plates without going through the real process of printing the resist mask (some sources indicate it was "clear"), galvanizing the dial, etc. just to see if the printing looks good.

*I think this albino Commando, if real, is definitely a prototype. Or maybe an employee having fun mixing and matching printing plates?

Finally, a cheap AliX jubilee bracelet that’s actually very good for the price ($5 USD, what’s not to like?!?)
I also used that bracelet on my 6541/Explorer combo (It's a fantasy watch with Milgauss dial/hands in a explorer case). I was surprised with the bracelet, really not bad for the price!

I'm currently building a Commando based on a Raffles case. However, I'm having a hard time finding the right plexi for it.

I would like to use a domed plexi, but the ones I have and that I and can find all have the beveled edges (Clarks and a most generic T12s for instance).

What would the the appropriate non-beveled plexi for this build? Any suggestions are more than welcome.

I tried to find them online, but I couldn't find any for sale. A*F crystals are all NOS anyway, so super hard to find the right one. Do you have a link perhaps?

Also, are there any alternatives?

For vintage cases that call for 25-12 crystals, I use GS PA 459-37 on Rlx 5500, 1002 etc. They have rounded sidewall tops and are high quality.
They always fit if the case/bezel are oem spec.
The GS PA 459-37A crystals have beveled sidewall tops like modern Rlx acrylic crystals.

Thanks. I indeed used the GS PA 459-37 on one of my 5500 builds with a gen 5500 case (which you recommended in an earlier post). However, the GS PA 459-37 doesn't fit the Raffles case. The inner diameter of the plexi is too small unfortunately.

You might go to the GS crystal catalog online and find something that will fit in the 'PA' section.

Happy New year , everyone. All the best to you in 2025!

Fresh out the gates in 2025 I present to you the Rolex albino commando prototype

The lume is a lemon yellow which is not to my liking. however with some weathering paints I am able to dull down the brightness and shift the color to more of a dulled down toasted almond tone.
I then weathered the dial surface to give it some vintage appeal
The hands did not match the lume on the dial , however I did weather them a bit but plan on doing a bit more to get a closer match to the dial

I installed into a 36mm case , as the dial is 28.5mm
As you can see if you were inclined to fit it into a 34mm case a bit of machining the OD of the dial can be done as there is a lot of room on the outer edge to remove to fit a 34mm case and retain the details on the dial

Here it is....

Paired with my distressed , aged green noto looks cool It also looks pretty neat on the bonklip bracelet.
cool to see it with both a milsub and albino....its like their lovechild.

Thanks for looking. Go do some push ups.
